Putting Away the Kleenex and Moving On

My stomach is slowly coming out of the knots from yesterday as I face this day of appointment making and . . . something happy, too:  Christmas shopping!

I'm going to do all the prep work before I leave (you know:  balance checking, pay the bills).  I'm only heading to the mall to get each goody box (there are two:  both families will share) a variety box of  Honolulu Cookie Company cookies.  Also at the mall, I will pop into the shoe store and buy my girl SIZE 8 (she's a shoe size larger than me, ach du libre!) black, not hi-tops, Chucks.  Then, I hope to find a spiral calendar either at Borders or elsewhere for 2010.  There's something else, but I can't recall, but I know it's on the list downstairs.  Then, I hope to stop by the commissary (why do I do this to myself????) to get bags upon bags of Aloha Hershey's Kisses.  Ahem, Kissteen:  you're box will have at least one bag of these!  But, be judicial about eating them for the babe's sake, yeah?  I do not want Jamie hunting me down and lecturing me for  . . . hey, wait!  Share them.  She can have one or two, right?  wink wink wink

Yesterday, after leaving Tripler, Crickles wanted to buy an iTunes card at Target so I was able to get each family (parents, siblings/spouses) those brass cut out ornaments, but with Hawaiian themes.  For example:  one of the ones on my tree (and I thank God I got it when I did 'cos there weren't any left yesterday) is Santa riding a wave on a surf board.  The wave is the circle around him.  I'll try and get a good picture later.

So.  Them are the plans.   I trust God will allow them to unfold without too much issue.  However, I just pray I stay patient and happy.  I'm tired and worn down and it can make me cranky.  Please, God, keep Your hand over my mouth!  Guard my thoughts so I don't snap at anyone in my mind either.  Amen.

Kissteen - I hope to put the box in the mail tomorrow when I post out the boxes to my family. Thank God the post office has those flat rate boxes.

Glad your stomach is cooperating with you today. I will keep Crickles and Mary in my prayers. And you too of course :)

Chocolate is great! My favorite treat [and icecream]!
