I Found A Book For Squirrle Boy!

I wondered if I'd be able to get SB "something to read" from the four things list (something wanted, something to wear, something to read, something that's needed) . . . He is not a "reader" per se, but this book is IDEAL.  They love that one that goes like this:  Jesus walked on water.  Chuck Norris swam through land.

So, while at Borders getting a new calendar, I found this book.  I'm pre-reading it for the heck of it . . . I'm very careful with books and no one would ever know I read it before I gave it.  Secret is out.  Oops!  But, what I like so far is that he'll take the "Fact" and tell a story around it and relate it to one of his 12 Principles for Life.  Many things are encouraging as well as funny . . . just what Squirrel Boy needs right now.  I pray he'll read it and learn from this wonderful guy!

One of the quotes he shares is this from Maser Jin Kwon, South Korean Martial Arts Master:  "In the process of trial and error, our failed attempts are meant to destroy arrogance and provoke humility."

Amen.

Gosh, it was a BLAST shopping today!

I hate shopping but I LOVE bookstores. I can be in and out of a clothing store in 15 minutes but I have to be pried out of the bookstore :) Glad you found Squirrel Boy a good book. I've been known to pre-read a few myself;)

I love the blog. I too have been known to secretly pre read my 8yr old's books too after he got some shall we say "interesting" reading material at school. That is much better since I started homeschooling him (we are an Army family and the base we are stationed at is in a horrible school district). He has yet to figure out why I know so much about every book he has read.
