These birds: cattle egrets. I am amazed by them. Lately, there's been a trio of them eating bugs from the carpet of grass outside my front door. They are amazing to watch. When I perch in my kitchen window with my binoculars (bi-nik-ulars, as I say), it's almost like they can see me 'cos they all instantly freeze and start cocking their heads to the side, staring up into my window. The camera didn't seem to faze them one iota.
My home altar, if you can call it that. But it's a start! It holds all my rosary making bits right now, but I can't leave them anywhere else. If they are in front of me, they'll get made. Adreinne, Teenie loaned me the picture she chose to have. ;)
PG Tips and my Brown Betty. And, of course, honey from Iowa.
Oh, Lord! This is Kuromi. She's an Hello Kitty character. Adorable. Adorable! This bobble head hangs out in my kitchen window next to the Infant of Prague. I have a pen with her on it as well as a stuffed toy near my bed. It is an illness.
Of course, Gold Canyon Candles. This one is in a terrific jar. LOVE IT! The scent is in their Christmas line. Cinnamon Garland. Yum.
Last, but not least (never ever last or least, actually)
These three:
Have a blessed weekend everbody!

The rosary is beautiful...do you think you could do a how-to post sometime? or is it too labor intensive? Have a great weekend!

Fun photos, Sarah! I think I got a whiff of that candle as I scrolled down—cinnamon garland, yum!! Pretty rosary, and your kids are so cute in that last pic. You obviously saved the best one for last =) Have a very blessed weekend, too!
Your rosary is beautiful.
Love all the pics especially the white birdies strutting in your yard.
You have an excellent weekend!
Your kiddos are just gems.
Sarah, hello there. My children and I have been sick for over a week now, but we are better. I just released the announcement of my book on my blog. If you can come to the Cathedral this Sunday for the 9 or 10:30am Mass, that would be wonderful. I have the book signing event that day. Bring your family. :-)
I like those egrets! But I never heard of cattle egrets. They look smaller than other egrets I have seen.
Elizabeth - They are smaller. I should say shorter. They seem to flock together as well. On the top of their heads is the crest, that usually kind of lays back, but it's a soft tan/burnt orange colour that doesn't show up when I take their pictures. My dad and I are fascinated by birds and I love to learn at least their names so when dad and mum, prayerfully, come to see us, I can share this hobby with him. ;)
