When We Buy Our Own Home Some Day . . .

I only want one - point - five bathrooms. That's one and an half. Two terlits - in case of emergency and not having to share a private bath with visitors/company.

I am SICK of cleaning terlits! Three a week - !!!

The next two weeks or so is all about teaching the kids to do their own laundry.

After that: they get to rotate which of the three of them gets to clean their bathroom. Then, I only have two terlits to care for.

I won't be happy then, but mighty closer to it. ;)

I quit cleaning the bathroom that my boys share a couple of years ago. I make them clean it now! The three boys share one bathroom, we have a "powder" or 1/2 bath on the main floor and our Daughter shares our bathroom with us. So I am down to cleaning two! I am much more blissful for it!

He he he. That is so funny. I dream of having my very OWN bathroom. I don't care how many terlits I have to clean. I just want to go in there any time I need or want to.

That's too funny, Sarah!

I want at least one terlit with a working lock. One does work but can be "manipulated" from the outside.

7-year old enters locked bathroom to retrieve his Davy Crockett rifle. I am occupying the bathroom and yell, "What are you doing? Please get out!!"...

..."Don't worry, Mommy. I'll lock it up again on the way out."

Yucky! Ha!
Right now..I'd be thankful for a couple of NEW terlits! We live in a 30+ home and I don't know if there ever has been a change. I want some that look shiny white no matter WHO cleans em! Ha! Taxes are gettin paid in just a few days and then 2 new terlits is next on the agenda!

We have two terlits and one shower. I just want one more shower then it will be happy too!!!

I am always amazed that people use to have outhouses.

I have been camping enough that turding in the woods is the pits.

I love my two terlits!!!!

Okay, this is gross, but: when we moved in here, I had to Lysol wipe a few times the side of the vanity cabinets in every bathroom . . . there were crusty yellow spots all over them - you know it's from a guy standing and splashing. The splashing can't be helped, I suppose, but cleaning up the previous occupants piss really got on my nerves. For the record, I clean the side of the sink vanity/cabinet every time I clean the bathroom to "stay on top of it" as it were.

This is WHY boys need to be taught how to clean a bathroom 'cos you know they'll just wipe the seat off and call it clean.

We have 4 bathrooms!!! When we moved here 2 years ago, we went from 1 to 4!! The basement one is closed and only used when my book club comes 2x/month in the school year, so I clean that one every other week, but the kiddos clean the main floor bathroom which is a 1/2 bath cleaned by Jedi. And Ballerina Rosie cleans the "kid bathroom" which is a full bathroom. It takes her an hour, and she always comes out with a new hair style! I clean my own bathroom.

I was going to post something soon about jobs and kiddos. I think they need to learn how to do things, we know a certain teen who does not even know how to do dishes!

We have 4 bathrooms, too. (Technically 3.5, but that still equals 4 terlits!) More bathrooms than bedrooms. Doesn't make sense, does it? The basement one is used rarely, so I don't have to clean that one very often. But 3 per week is plenty!

My eight-year old is in charge of terlits at our house (with a monthly or so deep cleaning by Dad). My seven-year old does the sinks.

BTW, I know of many mommys who make their boys, including hubby, sit. all the time. to avoid the splashing issue. My boy is only five and still sits, so we'll see ... this seems a little extreme. And I won't make hubby sit, because he does more terlit/floor/shower cleaning than I do. ;)
