Ahhhh, Hello Comfort!

Here's what I'll be sleeping on for some years to come. I doubt a 30 year warranty makes much difference, but this is a nice bed! In thirty years I'll be 70. Won't that be lovely?

I had a busy day today - heck, the whole week has been errand-filled! It's good to be out and about, but I have so many crafty things to work on, it's silly! I need some time to SIT.

Teenie's math class was having a party this morning, so she brought in banana chocolate chip cookies (3 points) and simple sesame noodles (1 point). Points are for servings/batches that can feed twenty kids). The noodles made my house and my van smell so good, I came home and ate an English Muffin with strawberry jam so fast I hardly tasted it. So, after going out and buying SB two pair of jeans, a shirt he wanted, and a Shakespeare play (he asked if he could read more since reading Romeo and Juliet, which he really liked - I know, I'm at a near faint again typing this!), and some groceries, I came home and ate an early lunch: veggie burger sans bun and some broccoli with cheese.

The decaf coffee is wonderful. I thought I'd never go to the dark side, but to save my stomach from rupturing, I think it was a good compromise. I have noticed that the Pumpkin Spice coffee is light (flavour rating), but I'm not sure about it's acidity. I think - I don't know this for certain - that the stronger the coffee is, perhaps there's more acid involved? Anyone know? My tummy is doing so much better since cutting back and eating different as well.

Tomorrow: Hawaii's' public schools first furlough day. The kids will be home and I need to come up with an activity - and encourage SB to work hard on his project. He brought home one A and all the rest B's for first quarter - we could not be more pleased. I made sure to lay on honestly thick HONEST praise - he needs to hear it, see. Just like his mum - I need it, too. So much for humility, yeah?

Erika & Marcy - I plan on mailing out goodies tomorrow. So, be prepared! I hope none of it melts!! :) Let me know if it does or doesn't, please. Mahalo.

Love your new mattress...how perfect that it has hearts on it, but I know the part they you are gonna like best! That's the fact that you just look so skinny laying on it in that picture!!!!

You stay so busy and then you worry about more busyness!

Congrats on the good grades and congrats to you too for all the beautiful things that you get done, Sarah!

blessings and hugs,

marcy

Cool jammies, girl! It's nice to have a cozy place to sleep, no? I'd love to get a new mattress soon.... ours has been around for about a decade now...

Congrats on the diet victories... it's not easy when you're alone all day to be good! There's no one there to smack you and make you put stuff down!

Congrats on the great grades. Hard work pays off.

Long ago, before I boycotted Starbucks, a barista told me that decaf has more acid -- that the stronger brews have less. It defies logic, and maybe she was wrong. I guess it's worth investigating. I think all of it has an awful lot of acid. I recently started on Nexium and it's truly a beautiful thing! Not a smidge of heartburn.

Jammies are from Victoria's Secret. Ahem. They do carry these types all the time and different patterns. I love their pj's. I get a new pair every Christmas. Thank goodness they have opened a store at Ala Moana mall downtown! I'd hate to pay the shipping!! Incidentally, the reason I have these sorta-ugly retro-ish pj's is that my grandma Myrt (Myrtle) had a pair of jp's similar to these and they remind me of her!

So the "free" lamb cost about 2 grand (only kiiiiiiding)

We have a Select Comfort that is need of replacing. It's about 18 years old. Or.......... we could save money and go "monk" and sleep on the floor.

Our oldest doggie, Sophie, would love that. She can't see well enough to jump up on the bed at night, and she's too stupid to learn to use the footstool, which means I have to get up several times a night and heft her back on the bed.

We have a sleep number mattress and love it! We got the *cheaper* version...we can adjust the mattress but there is no digital readout. I didn't get a darned cute lamb with it though! You look so darn cute in your jammies too!

I read that the lighter brews have more caffeine than the darker ones but I am not sure about the acid.

Have a good weekend!
