A Helping Hand: They've Gone and Done it!
I am not waging a war, here. Charity is KEY. My friend Dawn (follow link above, please) is having trouble getting through to "anonymous". So am I. Be charitable to all of us - we could both still be wrong, but we doubt it - this anonymous may be more than one parishioner of her chapel. Again, please help explain the teachings of the Church, keep feelings and judgmental comments to yourself. We are to educate one another and - I need your help, my humble, lovely, Faithful to the Magisterium, readers.
Comment on her blog, not here. Thanks!!!
**you can comment here if you like to leave me a wee "hello" and "bugger off, you git" if you don't like to get into these sorts of things, I understand. ;) **

Great post & blog!
a wee hello to ya.
just wanted to say you look so stinkin' cute with that little lamb!
you are great!
hope you have a lovely weekend!
Sarah-kala - I stopped by Dawn's blog and read the comments. Seems like Adrienne dropped the nuke before I had a chance to.
My comment wouldn't have been too helpful, either. I was going to say "There shalt be no swayin' of the hips before puttin' Jesus past yer lips."
I don't think that would have gone over too well.
Both you and Dawn did a wonderful job of trying to explain to anon the problems with her thinking.
Unfortunately, her reasoning is all too common in today's Church due to poor catechesis, as well as dissident priests and bishops.
It is also a societal problem with everyone wanting to do what "feels" good to them. When we operate on "feelings", reason is blown out of the water, and the boat starts to sink.
We are seeing the results of lack of rigorous intellectual honesty in today's world.
Oh Larry - darn - I like your answer waaaaaaaaaaaay better.
...and a follow up nuke is not a bad idea!
Thanks, all! Adrienne really took one on for the Church. Hoo-rah!
LarryD - I choked on my ice when I read your comment!! ;) Just call me the frozen-lunged-one now, 'kay?
I love that comment from Larry D. Maybe some humor is what is needed!
I checked in on it earlier yesterday. So many good things being said and so well...those with ears ought to hear.
The Mass isn't about us, it's about Christ and His sacrifice and anytime we deviate from that we lose focus on Christ. Big reason why I think the Traditional Latin Mass needed no tampering and that the Novus Ordo has created a slippery slope regarding participation. Real participation is assisting the Mass, prayer...in silent reverence before the Almighty. Not a show with distractions (well meaning, I am sure, but about ME and my needs, wrong focus) entering stage left and exiting stage right. Cue the music, we can't have a moment of silence... ah, I digress....
Changing ourselves requires humility and sometimes pain and we are called to be obedient which is a constant struggle with our natures. I fail, we all fail with God's mercy seeds are planted and over time we grow and change our ways.
Prayers.... the scripture on softening hearts come to mind...
I'll check in again but the lot of you have done a wonderful job! You're a good friend to Dawn and part of a team of warriors for the Magesterium, God bless you!
