I want to share with you my pin cushion (which was made in China and I wanted to do a give away with something from Hawaii):
I can't wait to get moved in and settled so I can start sewing and crafting again. I want to be able to sew and embroider like this lovely lady.
I was able to finally go to Confession today and we went to this evenings Mass. I just want to be patient with folks, but really, do the red say the black already. Geesh. The priest called up any children that wanted to come up to the altar around him while he prepared the gifts and we said the Our Father . . . after which time they were dismissed . . . This kind of circusing about with the Mass drives me nuts. The only children that stood there properly (and didn't need to be) were the altar servers. The other kids were looking around, looking at each other . . . what a mess.
After Mass we did our grocery shopping. We may go see a film tomorrow or we may not. I'm for not at this time, as I really would rather go on that mini hike and check out a waterfall promised to be on the walk. I do not want to rush about like a crazed lunatic to get to a cinema later. And, honestly, the queue to get in will be ridiculous. I like to wait a few weeks to see "new" releases. In the mean time, I can get in a few good books, yeah?
I'm beginning "Fire Within" by Fr. Dubay once again. I tried when I first got it; tried again on the flight from Maryland; and, after several other purchased books now read, I am trying again. I think I needed to get some lighter reading before tackling something so near and dear. My prayer life can only be much better and effective now that I've gone to Confession. I try to go regularly (every 2 months or more often). I'm not a Saint - but I would like to be one. I can not hide that hope from anyone. It is some times an hourly struggle to choose to do good or the will of God . . . when the flesh is dead set against it. But, the JOY when I surrender to God cannot be compared to another. Please pray for me that I make some heart-way into this book, which may help me unleash the fire within (which, I believe is a stronger, more contemplative prayer life; which, I believe God is calling me to . . . and not just me, exclusively, but you, too). I agree with that much that I have read so far: it's not exclusive; it is for everyone. I want it. Don't you?
God bless you and keep you.

YES! And I would like to win it, Sarah, because it came from you, and every time I use it I'd be prompted to send up a few Hail Mary's for you and yours. :-)
That tape measure is SO cute, too!!
Well, indeed yes. The pin cushion is bright as the sun and soft as a feather for any pin I would wish to place in it. Besides, it's not from the Dollar Store, it's from YOU! Cathy
Yes I,d love to win your lovely pin cushion well just because its nice I saw your comment on jennys blog and thought I'd pop over to say hello
Just read your comment on my blog. When I heard Jeremiah today, "Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture,
says the LORD. Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel,
against the shepherds who shepherd my people: You have scattered my sheep and driven them away.
You have not cared for them,
but I will take care to punish your evil deeds. "
This is Godtalking folks. "Hell is paved with priests' skulls."- St. John Chrysostom
