Howdy

I'll be posting something tomorrow.
We are attending Life Teen tonight 'cos there's confession (my hubs said Fr. Willoughby will be here - my fav priest!) . . . with the threat of 5-8" of snow tonight, I'm glad to go tonight for confession. My plan was to go tomorrow with an hour of Adoration (can do that tonight, too) and then Mass. Now it's confession and Adoration tonight. Whatever works!
I'm baking a box mix and a home-made batch of brownies for the kids. They're almost done and I need to scoot.

Many blessings to you all.

i am feeling your pain sister. "the cold" got me too. and here we are on opposite ends of the earth. i know you have had it much longer, so God bless you, but i am starting to forget what "normal" feels like. it is affecting my ears too!
anyway, those brownies sound so yummy! if i wasn't feeling so crappy, i just might have to bake something. even though it was 90 degrees here today!
i had to laugh about the amy's soup. you've never bought her stuff before, huh? it is a little on the bland side....but with my high blood bp i have gotten used to bland food.
anyway, sorry so long winded. hope you feel better. i'll be praying for you and your sonny boy. are you having lots of trouble with him too? my teen is behaving badly. i am really struggling with "what to do" esp. since my hubby has been working out of town. i'll pray for yours if you pray for mine. we should form some sort of moms-of-teens alliance, with st. michael as our head!

hugs and love,
me

Yeah, I'm so terribly sorry you're not well - but you will be again, it just tries the hell out of your patience (well, it does mine). Geesh, it does boil down to being patient with your body and the healing process. You have my prayers.

Yeah, my oldest is becoming a rude child and a bit rebellious. We can't be too tired to parent and discipline. We've both walked the road of teenhood - we both remember it wasn't easy, but we also know it's survivable. The best thing is to watch, be there, be ready, have a plan, keep the rules the same, be consistent, PRAY, make the kid stick to the Sacraments . . . just be there for them and be gentle, but firm. It's a balancing act for sure.

My dad had high bp - I grew up w/out salt in our foods, and to this day I use very little of it. I can eat other people's food and taste the salt in it - esp. in the cookies (just a pinch, folks, is all you need, not that 1/2 teaspoon). Anyway, no I haven't purchased Amy's before. Someone else told me to add salt to her soups. Maybe I'll crack one of the remaining cans and try that. I mean, it smelled heavenly, but the taste was blech.

Blessings and hugs,
Sarah
