Today Is My Birthday

Okay, this picture was taken on the Riverwalk whilst porking on a caramel chocolate covered apple from Rockey Mountain Chocolate Factory. Yum. Well, I wish I could munch one of those apples today, but they closed down the RMCF shops in my area (dang!). However, I have baked a chocolate cake and mixed a fudgey chocolate buttercream frosting (thanks for the recipe, Dawn) and I'm enjoying this chocolate binge immensely.
All I want other than that is for each of you to love one another as Christ loves you.
Here's to another 39 years, yeah?
Note: What's really cool? Having my favourite Dominican priest saying Mass on my birthday! Yeah!!!

Thank you all so much! I am sitting here trying to keep the abundantly de-lish Indian food in my over-stuffed self. I am so full it is unbelieveable. Oh, but it was soo de-lish. Thanks, JoMary!!

Rosemary - I'm so full, I hope I want to eat chocolate cake later. Oy vey!

Jamie - thank you! I need all the rosaries (prayers) I can get... particularly the gastrointestinal directed ones. Ha!

Dawn - tell me you're going to HI!!!! You know you are the sister God gave me through friendship. Love you!!!

MM- Want some of this cake? Thanks for the wishes!

Suzanne - I hope you find the peace and joy and love and happiness you are needing during your self-imposed blogging break. We've all been there one time or another. You can email me oldhamdj(at)comcast(dot)net.

Jen - my old boooosom buddy! Remember that time when Erika, you and I went truckin' through the grave yard on the Island singing "From the Halls of Montazuma"???? Well, that was a long time ago and I miss having fun with you (and E) very much. I love that God has blessed me with OLD friends, too. BIG HUGS!!

Okay, I was going to post birthday wishes last night but forgot and now, I look like I forgot. Regardless, hope your birthday is great. You may be blessed with OLD friends, but remember, you are older!

Sarah - Kala said...

Yes, Erika, I know I'm older. Thanks for the reminder :-) Hugs and kisses to you!!

I am now aware of how oblivious to the blog world I've become lately. HAppy Belated Birthday girl! You're older than me but certainly don't look it! Sounds like you had a scrumptious day! Have fun with your rice maker!

God Bless, Melissa
