Good Thing He Called Me . . .

Monday's are a mad rush about this place. The kids barely scrape food into their gullets and they're off running for the bus. I'm dealing with the dog dancing around my feet for her turn for attention. Chief is in from his run and getting ready for work.

Some one has to take the trash out to the curb. It can't be me - I'm still in my PJ's making the scrambled eggs. SB says he'll take it out once he's done eating. So I relax.

The bus is coming, everyone is running.

I ask Chief to take the trash to the curb since SB was tying his shoes when the bus came and did not have time to do so.

He forgot.

I was very angry. I think my head spun!

I pulled on a sweatshirt, slipped on some flip flops and pushed the trash out myself. "That's it! He's such a BEEP BEEP BEEP!!" "I ask one simple thing and BEEP BEEP BEEP!" All the way out and back into the house I'm ranting. The dog is scared and moves the fastest she has ever moved into her "house" (kennel) when I told her to. I march upstairs and get ready to take my shower when I notice that Chief has hung up the bath mat. He's hung it up today! Oh, my! I can't believe it!

Seriously, it diffused my anger on the spot. I think had it been on the floor today I would have just hucked myself through and out the window.

Why do those little things annoy the piss out of me?

He called, though. Right after I noticed the mat hung up.

"I'm sorry. I got distracted."

Me, too. The unimportant things got in the way of my love for you, Chief. I'm sorry, too.

Isn't it funny how they will do something sweet, right when you really need to be forgiving?! Your morning sounds so much like something that would happen in my house! Nice to know I'm not alone!

Best blog I read all day. You write so well I can just picture myself in your head. You can use better wonky words then bleep!

You got spit-fire in ya Sarah and that's what I love about you.

Poor Pooch...better go scrounge up a doggy bone to calm the critter nerves.
