Book Store Stop

I ran an errand this morning to Borders. I needed to get a copy of Jane Austen's Emma. Got it! Over at Bigger than a Breadbox blog (see sidebar), Mimi is going to head/lead a "club" on this book beginning 15 November. I missed the first one on Little Women. I think that's what it was. Anyway, if you want to join in, click on the link on my side bar and let her know.

Whilst at the bookstore, I purchased some Christmas presents, and, found a strange book that I'll read before I crack open Emma.

The book? The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible by A.J. Jacobs. Full review to follow. I think it's going to be tongue-in-cheek (mostly cheek), but I gotta hand it to the guy for reading the Bible(s) and doing research and really considering religion.

I will do a book review soon.

so dern funny! I too, made a visit to Borders, w/my 40% off coupon..and..I too, almost picked up that Jacobs book. However, I refrained and decided to search the library for it. Weird..we are on the same wavelength! :)

Ooh, I just love Emma! Maybe I'll join the discussion group. It's been a couple years since I've read it.

I'm looking forward to the review on "The Year of Living Biblically". Happy reading!

That book looks good, I'm curious as to your thoughts.

Oooh! What a great excuse to read more Jane Austen! Going to check out Mimi's blog...

Sarah-I emailed you about the bibs but Yahoo always rejects my email address. I have no idea why and wish I could do something about it. At any rate, you'll have to dig my email out of your virtual trash can and add me as an acceptable email source. Sorry for the pain!
