For the Laughs

My darling Squirrel Boy wishes to inform me of his plans to name his future son: Dougal.

Yes, as in that Dougal. Me thinks the humour bone has passed to this boy. I shall enjoy the future Dougal immensely!

Ted: Dougal, how did you get into the church in the first place? Was it, like, 'collect 12 crisp packets and become a priest?'

Dougal: God, I've heard about those cults Ted. People dressing up in black and saying Our Lord's going to come back and save us all.
Ted: No, Dougal, that's us. That's Catholicism.
Dougal: Oh right.

Blessings each day said...: Isn't there a cartoon character dog also named Dougal?? that is too funny...does he have a great name for a girl or will he use Dougal for her too? Hey, she could be Dougalette!!

Warrior Prayers

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.

The Blogger's Prayer

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck,

manage to visit all that visit me,

and post regularly -
all in 5 minutes a day,

so that I can clean house
and take care of my family.

Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post,

and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well.

Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life.

And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.
