Managing Hope

I feel better today. Even my mood is more hopeful!

No caffeine yesterday left me suffering a hum-dinger of an headache, which I tried to sleep off all night, but finally, at 5:30am, I got up and took some Motrin with milk. Why did I try to kick it on my own? I have a sneaking suspicion that my stomach acid is in high gear and that is why I'm having the "tightness" and constant heartburn/burping. I was afraid of the coffee and the Motrin burning a hole in my stomach. Plus, when you worry like I do about stupid stuff, it doesn't help!

I'm about to go down and have breakfast: wheat toast with thin layer of peanut butter, a banana, and some tea. Lady Gray. I need a bit of an artificial boost so I can manage the petrol pump around 9am and then the drive to the Oreck store. Gosh, I really hope they have vacuum bags in stock!

I'm looking forward to cleaning. I tell you what, when I saw the inside of my vacuum (after having used it since moving here - and using it in the condo - without a bag) . . . uff da! YUCK! I was thinking I am really losing it.

I hope I get outta my 40's with my mind in tact. Some times I wonder. I hope I can manage that.

Sarah-I'm working on getting IN to my 40's with my mind intact! Do you think coffee would help with that? I don't drink it. I don't drink tea either. They both taste like dirt to me and try as I might, I can't seem to overcome the aversion to that particular taste. But if it will help me with the old mind....

Oooh! I see Archbishop Broglio in your sidebar!! He's from my town and I'm awfully glad he's shepherding our military...but I'm awfully sad that he can't stay closer to home. We need him pretty badly here. Great to see his smiling face on your blog:).

Hey! It's Tolkien! And Papa Benedict, too! You keep some pretty good company here, girl!

I have Archbishop Broglio here as I saw a few other blogs that put up pics of their Archbishop. Neat idea. It reminds me to pray for him.

Well, I think what is really challenging you now is that yard you love so much. ;) Enjoy life every day as it comes, my dear. I'm likin' 40, it's just that I perceive a switch is stuck lately. ;) Coffee and or tea may help a bit, but only in energy, not smarts.

Motrin-- what a great drug. It'll get you through.

Did you vacuum without a bag on purpose!!?? At least you can spell vacuum. I always spell it with two "C's"

Our minds were meant for the simple life. Not all this crazy stuff we need to do every day.

Lady Gray!! Good Stuff!

Kissyteen - Nope. I did not vacuum w/out the bag on purpose. I'm just stoopid. I think you spell vacuum just fine. Can you spell mayonnaise? That used to throw me through a big loop. Some things in life are worth knowing how to spell properly.

Kissyteen - I'm mailing out my second PIF box this week and I'll be able to focus 100% on your PIF. I'm so excited. Completion is a great feeling. *I still have this other thing I'm sending to Therese, but she got an handmade bookmark like the one I made Crickles, but a different design.* HUGS!

Rosemary - Motrin is good, but not on an empty stomach; was daft here, 'cos I have Tylenol that would have been just fine to take and go back to bed w/out worries of indigestion etc..

JMJ - Thanks for checking on me!

Yeah, have to be careful about the empty stomach. I always take a cracker or something with it. But middle of the night in a lot of pain? I'll probably just pop a couple..
