Oh my, my, my, my!
I love this wee store called Fiddlesticks on Coral Street in Honolulu. Oh, my! Jenny of Elefantz, girl, you would LOVE it!! I am a beginner, but these gals have a newsletter (signed on) and classes (will look and join a class soon) and they will order in any.thing.at.all. They have all kinds of Hawaiian designs by local artists . . .
I'm in stitching (only cross stitching - for now - they have embroidery, and felting, and needlepoint) heaven.
I need to finish up that British bear (he's close) so I can crack open a few lovely kits!

I love counted cross stitch!
If I could just finish this one so I could start another!!! I have so many plans HERE...if I'd go into that store I fear I'd have more projects. Just not enough hours in a day! Well! Have a lot of fun with your new projects and take pics! Cathy
I'm glad you made it to the store ... and had so much fun! Enjoy the needle arts that you're creating =)
I love needlework too. Haven't done any in a long time though. It's nice to finish something that stays done. You know?
This tiny (short)but very round lady came into Hallmark yesterday evening and flopped down two kits of counted that she finished. One was a cute little country side scene, rather small and framed nicely. The other was of a tall ship with sails you know one of those intricate things..but very tiny in detail..it tired me out to look at it! Little tiny x's..ah!
Anyway, sounds like a fun shop!
Adrienne - I'll keep that in mind.
Grandma K - I will definitely be posting pictures soon. I will likely finish the Brit bear tomorrow or Thursday . . . so pictures are coming!
Sarah - oops! I spent about $80!!! I have enough. Enough. I must stitch them all before I can buy any more. Period.
Rosemary - yes. I have nothing I have cross stitched hanging up. Yet. I have this cupcake pattern I have my eye on. I'd like to stitch it and hang it in my kitchen. But, first: those other kits.
Suzanne - if it was teenie tiny stitching, I'll be she stitched on 32 count or something. The larger the number, the smaller the x stitch. I might go blind if I did that small. I can go as small as 24 before I start blinking a lot. I am currently doing a kit that is 16 or 14, I think. I like 18 the best. Not too big, not too small.
