Here is a view of the park in our front yard. There's room out front to play lawn games. Hurrah!
This is the master bedroom closet. Looks kinda tiny in this picture, but it's actually quite large.
Our back yard and lanai. Oh, the plans I have . . . .
Here's the half bath by the garage door. I love that the bathrooms have windows. I haven't had that since I left my parents home. Don't worry, no more bathroom shots. They all have lovely fixtures, the tub/shower units have built-in shelves (so no accessory shopping for me) and the towel racks are spaced and hung in their proper places (Dawn would second my saying this: in the housing we both lived in, this was not thought through).
I thought this was the coat closet. It's an under the stairs freak me out space. We may put up hooks for our rain coats and umbrellas, but this space I would like to keep empty as much as I can. If I start storing stuff in there, we won't see it again until we move out.
Oops! Chief's in the shot. He's standing near the stair wall of our living room. The front door is to the right. Ceiling fans in EVERY room. And, the switches have dimmer controls for the speed of the fan so no one has to yank on those ridiculous chains.
The dining room with the door to the lanai.
The kitchen. Okay. So, I'm back to electric stove tops. I never thought I would say this, but I love gas better. I do. The first few times back in GA when I used my gas stove, I thought I'd blow the house to hell and back, but I know better now. :)
Okay, I love the light fixtures in the house. Alot, alot, alot. I love that I have a freezer with an ice maker and water dispenser in the door! FINALLY! That pantry looks small, but it will do nicely for us. And, we have an additional pantry closet that we can stick in that nook there.
So, that's our empty house that will soon be filled (tomorrow) with our stuff, our family, OUR DOG, and our love.
Making new memories.
God is good!

The gas stove story made me pee my pants. I freak out with flames. I will stick with electric.
Very nice and white and clean!
I am drooling over your laundry room. Some man put our washer and dryer in the closet right where people walk into our home. I open the doors and there it is.
I send a beer over for a house warming present!
My goodness!!! What a delightful place you have to live. Happy moving!!! Cathy
So pretty! Can I come over?
Love it. I have one suggestion for the freaky little space under the stairs. Just store your Christmas decorations there and nothing else. Pretty simple huh? It would take the guess work out of whats in there.
Have fun tomorrow!

Yea!!! It's lovely. I'm excited for you. Love the kitchen, love it all. I prefer gas stoves too. I like to SEE my heat and have it respond instantly. (It's the controlling part of me:-) And a park right across from it? What could be better? (Not to mention that it's in Hawaii. Happy moving in!
Looks great Sarah! We had the same space under the stairs here in housing and we used it for Christmas decorations. I sure do miss it. Now my decorations are stored in the spare room closet. Oh well.
Happy moving!
I've thought this was such a cool house since you first posted the outside pics. The inside is beautiful as well ... I like seeing all the details! I'm sure you are excited to get settled & put everything in it's place.
Won't it be fun to unpack and rediscover all of your things!!??
Sarah,
Wow, finally, you can settle in. We are so happy for you. The kitchen looks like picerne housing, love the island in the kitchen, and I sure like the rest of the rooms. The floors look great, easy to keep clean. A yard, how cool and what a lovely fence. We are supposed to get a fence in October, then Molly can run. :)
Can't wait for more stories...love ya...bev
PS: Cousin Larry is here and we are sitting down to dinner with a peach cobbler for dessert. Wish you were here, so I could hear that great laugh...hugs to "the Chief and the kids".
I'm so happy that you are finally getting into your new home! I've had a gas stove for 6 years now, and I love it. I agree with Susan about putting the holiday decorations in that storage space!
Yeah for you! And you always throw me off with the addition of "Kala" to your name girlie. :-) I happen to LOVE the space under your stairs, very cool for hiding on your kids, right? Your kitchen is cozy and will become the center of all the family action, enjoy. Gas stove? I'm with ya there, still nervous about owning such a thing here. Gives me the creeps that fire, especially when it won't light and the smell feels like an invisible plume of blow up around me. :-) Love the fans, we love them here too, always on! So bright and sunny in your place, cheery and just wonderfully welcoming. Love the fact you are "ready just in case" with plenty of toilet paper. You are so funny! LOL And happy your canine will be back to live with y'all again. God Bless!!!
Love the house, Sarah! It's always so exciting to finally move in and have your things around you again. And Holly will be home! Yay! I'm happy for you.
I love it! (I prefer gas stoves...)
Gosh, am I late to this party or what?
Congrats on the beautiful new home, it looks beautiful. I'm excited for you to get some normalcy finally, you deserve it!!
I love gas stoves.....I miss our old one, our home now only has electric and I hate it. Gas is great for temperature control!
Jamie - tell Kissy that I'll be drinking all the beer for us for a few months, yeah? I' so tickled at her news!! I love it: God gives us so much to be thankful and prayful for!
It's lovely and driving across the bridge is just too cool.

Sarah, I gave you the Loyal Friend and Visitor award on my blog, although I know you've already received it. Hope moving is is going smoothly.
Coming back to take a little longer to see all this, but so far..looks so pretty, clean and all that. :)
Happy for you and when again are you moving?
Suz
When I read that you had a naked house, I had to try to close my eyes...actually, I really rushed over like an excited little puppy as looking at homes is so fascinating!
I remember a friend once telling me that her space under the stairs was her little prayer alcove and that she could get some good private praying done under there. That sounds good and I would probably do it on Christmas storage boxes!
Happy nesting!
blessings and hugs,
marcy
oh I love love love the kitchen.
Great house. I hope you really like living there.
Oh what fun, I just love to look into others homes.. and yours is just wonderful.. and the view you get going across the bridge is awesome!!!!
Yay, Sarah!! You are finally moving into your new house! I am so excited for you =) Good luck with all that goes into getting settled ... God bless!
awesome! yay for moving and getting settled! and getting the dog back :) so exciting!
ceiling fans in every room...that is NICE. something we don't have since we moved and think it's so bizarre. not ONE room has one or lights! no lights except in the kitchen and dining room! craziness.
Sarah - that looks like the perfect tree for drinking coffee and reading a good book! Ours are still puny! And love the lanai! You're going to have so much fun in your new home! Yay! I'm happy for you.
