Okay, Really, Put A Giant Fork In Me . . .

I am exhausted.
We are all exhausted.
But, we're happy.

First off, I got the kids to school while Chief was at work for a little bit (trying to catch up after his week in Japan, see). We met at the house by about the time I was done dropping off the kids. Did I mention the whole process takes about an hour? Yeah, well, there's a light at the end of that tunnel. (Yippee!)

Then, the movers came . . . with the first load. Four crates.
I pretty much stayed in the kitchen. Box after box and a constant whine from me, "Geezzz, we ought to 'ave gotten rid of a bunch more before we packed out in Maryland!"

We broke for lunch about 10:30. Early, but the crates were emptied and everything was done as far as the movers could take care of. So, we went to Subway. I ate an entire foot long combo. That should not surprise anyone as I had NO COFFEE and no breakfast. Nothing went in before I got lunch.

By the time the movers came with the other four crates, we had a pretty good handle on what needed to be dealt with first and foremost.

By the time I returned with the kids in tow, the movers had left and Chief went back to work at the office. I busted open many more boxes, organized as much as I could, and even made our bed. The kids worked on their homework a little (will finish up after their dinner - even though now it's 7:30pm) . . . and we even met two neighbour boys. One goes to SB's high school (a year younger) and the other is in Crickles' class. Pretty cool. Now, we just need to get some girls over for Teenie and all will be good.

In the mean time, my back is aching a bit and I need to eat some dinner. We're back at it in the morning and the goal is to sleep in our home tomorrow. If it doesn't happen, it is because we didn't get enough moved out of the condo (says Chief). I say, I'll jump through all kinds of hoops to sleep in my house . . . and return to the condo to spiffy it up for the key turnover on the 20th.

No big whoop.

I'm content and I really worked out hard today.
God is so good.
And, thank you all for such nice comments yesterday and today with the prior post.

More pictures to come when it's all done.

Sounds like your nest in Hawaii is coming along just peachy!

There is no place like home...click click...no place like home.

I really could use a footlong Subway right now. Teriaki chicken roasted on a cheese bun...yum yum.

yippee for the kids meeting friends

So exciting! I feel for ya on the unpacking of the kitchen. UGH...ever time I've moved that is my least favorite room to unpack. And why I don't get rid of the crap I will never use, I have no idea.
