Here I am baking banana bread. I love to bake, but I'm sick of banana bread, people. Just eat the bananas when they are good to eat!
It is gloomy out again today. I'll be taking Squirrel Boy to an appointment later this morning. He isn't getting worse, but he's the same and needs to see a doctor. I hate that he is missing so much school. Two days can snow that boy over in makeup work!
The county actually called our house (recorded message) about the number of cases in MD (4) of the H1N1 virus. Sheesh. DO NOT CALL ME UNLESS OUR SCHOOL IS CLOSED. Anyway, it's not like we can do anything but keep our hands clean and not swipe our eyes with them etc. Oh, yeah, and stay out of the way of sick folks. I'm not trying to marginalize this, but in all actuality, I'm not worried about it. If I get it, God forbid, I'll deal with it. Until then, I'll continue doing what I always do: washing up regularly.
I have more laundry to do today, but at least it will get done today. I have washed up all the blankets that were stacked on the sofas for our winter snuggling up. It's cold as a Pole in here today, but I refuse to release the blankets for use or turn the heat back on. The blankets are going in the 'do not use' section of the house. I do not want to pack out dirty stuff if I can help it. In my mind I am running out of time to get rid of stuff and clean up the stuff we have.
In two weeks this house will be empty. We'll still be in it for a few days after to get it cleaned out for inspection. Then we're off to a local hotel until Squirrel Boy is Confirmed on the 29th of May and he finished school on the 10th of June. Next week is all about getting our clothing sorted (what will travel with us in our suitcases, and, what will be shipped on the 18th so we get that at the end of June in HI). That's the easiest pack out. The truck comes the 20-22 . . . what makes that packout difficult is keeping them from taking the stuff set aside to travel with - and keeping an eye on them packing our stuff properly. There is a procedure about it. Signatures and acknowledgements about what is in "this" box etc. It's a necessary pain in the tush.
I would like to sew my doll today. I have all the pieces cut out and ready. I know that if I take the time to finish her I can put away my machine and supplies for the move, and, it will motivate me to organize my craft area for the move. Two things down. Tomorrow I plan on tackling the garage. I wish we had done it before the new furniture came to rest in it. Now I have to work around it. There will be some heavy lifting involved as we have two cubicle cubbies from actual stores that we got from some other people. They aren't coming with us so we need to clean them out and haul them to the compactor/bulk trash area. I know that if I get that stuff at least out on the front lawn it will force my husband to deal with it. I know he is busy with work and all that, but there are hours after he's home to help me with this stuff. I freely admit I have no upper body strength and rely on his!
My day must get started. Time for prayer and more coffee. An appointment and laundry and sorting awaits. God grant me the ENERGY and PERSEVERANCE to deal with it all today. Not tomorrow. Not next week.

Hey girl..sounds like you are super busy! I fixed the link on the floorplans. You can check it out now. I couldn't go straight to the plan but you can click on THe Catherine. The farm house is just way out of our budget. We would be seriously putting ourselves in financial stress by going with that one.
Are you ever gonna make it over here for a cuppa joe with me before you go?? Maybe after you pack out? I'd hate for you to leave town without experiencing the Pasquini!
Stay below budget where you can. I think the farm is expensive for the land. Probably would have been a more solid house, though. That was all I meant. The new house is too big for my taste, but then, I won't have five kids eihter! (this is for those who may think I'm against having more than the three I have: if I could, I would, trust me; but I can't so I'm done).
I'm sure I'll get a chance to catch up with you via phone later.
HUGS!!!
Mau - I'd love to! I'll email you with more info. Thanks for the invite!!
Wow! Lots to do...still praying for you to get it all done and have peace!
Thanks a lot, Sarah, guess you know my weakness..post a puppy dog picture and I've gotta go see it!!
I was on my way to finish my today's pottymouth post when it came to a screeching halt with your picture.
While in Walmart discussing with Kelly how our Tinka can tear up any toy within minutes, a lady came by and said to try the raquetballs which seem to be indestructible and her neither her dauchunds nor the neighbors labs have been able to chew them up! Sad to say, Tinka is not that much into any ball toy.
As for you bananas, remember that they freeze so well and then can be used any time in the future (but they do look rather disgusting and I won't tell you what I've joked about there) and are great for bread or pancakes. Now you do have to remember they are in your freezer or they will multiply like bunnies (experience speaking).
Okay, now I have to try to post and get my five 'catch up' rosaries said today as well as a bazillion other things.
blessings,
marcy
Yes, may God grant you that energy and perseverance! I have the same KM apron you have. don't you love it? It's my favorite. Wow, you have a lot on your plate. May God also grant you peace!
Keeping you and your family in prayer as you proceed to go crazy for a little while (the assumption is that you aren't already crazy).
Thanks for giving me yet another reason not to have a dog...lol! I bet Baby could chew up that toy almost as fast as your doggie. What IS it about some kids?
my dog loves this annoying squeaking ball that i have to take away from him after 10 minutes of nonstop noise. what is it about the squeak that they love?
i'm not all that worried about the Swine either. should i be?
I love love love naughty doggies. Margaret posted a couple of her naughty doggie stories about this and that getting torn to shreds. I find it just hilarious!!!! I guess it brings me back to the time I was a little little girl walking into my grammas house and someone left the puppy with a bag of flour and 2 pails of eggs. Paper products also. I have never been able to erase the memory from my mind. The mess ohlord the mess.
I think you and your dog are both funny! LOL! This picture cracks me up..just look at that FACE! I think you are doing swell, keeping on track and everything..upper body strength or not! :) You have motivated me once again!
I wish I could have you over for a nice little lunch and give you a real friend kind of break!
Sarah - Your little guy reminds me so much of all my different Yorkies.
You need to be very careful with those toys lest you end up with a thousand dollar vet bill for getting pieces out of the intestine.
I worked for a vet and it was common to have to operate on doggies with pieces of toy in their tummy or intestine.
Adrienne - yes, I know about that toys stuck in the bowels. My SIL's lab ate a dish towel and lucky he puked it up. Oy! So, so far all the stuff she's ingested has come out . . . she already had a inguinal hernia fixed so I'm already fixated with keeping her bowels clear. I bought her a kennel for our move (airplane) and a wool pad . . . well, she is trying to eat the pad! So, I have to throw it out or she'll eat it. Dumb dog! And, sorry to say this, but if she gets something stuck in there, we can't afford to save her - not even $200 at the moment. Maybe not even in the next two years so we're being careful. No more soft toys.
