Okay, I am not usually a fan of staying at hotels, but man, this is just awesome! Two queens and a sleeper sofa (in a mini living room/office) and a kitchenette off to the side (small fridge and microwave . . . helps save money when you can nuke something or keep sandwich making stuff cold). Flat screen telly and PC hook-ups . . . . free breakfast (omelets, waffles, fruit . . . etc.). Pool and hot tub. Okay, the best part? FREE laundry machines! Folks, I'm in this place for about fifteen days . . . free laundry is awesome! Now, I have been offered many a friend's home to do our laundry, but hauling it and all that really seemed a pain. I'd rather pay, and in saying that I hope not to offend those who offered 'cos it was kind and generous. I'm just the kind of person who will usually pick the path of less hassle even if it means paying through the nose. But, FREE laundry! Woot! Woot!
Okay, and it's just really really nice that I do not have to hassle my friends for a convenient time (for them) to come do my laundry.
My husband is doing the exit review of our old place this morning . . . He is there now finishing the garage (sweeping it out good . . . I forgot and threw the broom away . . . so he's borrowed a neighbour's).
I need to get petrol into the van and run out to the vet's to get heart worm meds for Hols. Then, I have to call my friend "J" who is keeping her to get the pill in Hols. I also need to let "J" know I need a poo sample from Hols . . . I can take that to the vet whenever or at the appointment on the 8th.
I have a follow up appointment with the doctor who ordered the ultrasound and samples from me . . . to find out what is going on, if anything. When I made the appointment, the clerk said that, "IF there was anything wrong, ma'am, you would have been called already." Sure. Like, are clerks allowed to read our records and make that declaration? Really? How would she know? I reckon enough people's results go undisclosed just by mere accident. I'm not the kind of person to dilly about with my health. I still have occasional discomfort and pinches. If the results are nil, maybe there's more tests that can be done? That's why I need to see the DOCTOR to discuss my results, dumdum clerk! That appointment is next Monday.
I'm hoping to finish up Life of Pi tonight. It is a weird book, but I like the story actually. It is witty and philosophical.
Next up: My Sister's Keeper. No, I have zero interest in the film. I am one of those book snobs that is usually completely displeased by Hollywood's take on books. Exceptions: Lord of the Rings trilogy, and, Harry Potter series. There may be others, but my brain is running on half a cuppa (Joe) at the moment. I love BBC's Pride and Prejudice.
I want to go see: UP, The Land of the Lost, and Star Trek. Oh, and Night at the Museum II. Anyone seen any of these? Our first flick in HI: Harry Potter! I can't wait!

The hotel sounds great. Free laundry, yeah! And I'm with you on getting results. Paperwork errors can and do happen. I want to talk to someone who's LOOKING at the results, if not the doctor. Sounds like you have a great attitude through all this. God is good.
We saw Star Trek. It was enjoyable and I am NOT a Trekkie or a Trekker :-)
Email your hotel phone number to me. I want to have you for coffee next week. Any day that is good for you. I really want to do this before you leave! I figure you are all packed out and cleaned out. You should have a couple hours next week, right?
Mau . . . can you email me at Sarahs.Journey@yahoo.com? I don't strictly remember if I have it at the comcast account any longer as I am a doofus! OR, you can get my number from JoMary or you can wait for me to give it to you via email. I'll be checking! 'cos I'd love to, given the chance.
Have run not having to worry about cleaning your own home for a change..isn't it a nice break? Bet the kids are also having a good time. :)
The BBC's P n P is the best!
So glad the hotel is good! Still praying for good results!
saw night at the museum last weekend. it was cute. the guys are looking forward to land of the lost too.....i'm not a big star trek fan. up is on our list too. i am REALLY jealous of all that hotel stuff. my kids would live in hotels if we could. every time we go on vacation and we come back, even if it's weeks later, my little guy will say..."mama, do you remember the HOTEL?" oh, yes i do!
happy relaxing!
Jump on the beds! We always do.
Free laundry!? Totally cool!
I have not read a book in ages and the Sisters keeper landed in my lap because of a garage sale find. Could not put it down. Cried also. Good enough for me however I am not too picky.
I saw Star Trek, it was good.
Enjoy being pampered, you truly deserve it.
We went o see "Night at the Museum II" last weekend. It was cute, and provided a few laughs. Planning on seeing "UP," possibly this weekend.
By the way, my oldest daughter thinks the little boy in "UP" looks just like her little brother. We'll see....
