These were on my porch when I came in from the Scout Shop. How am I supposed to vacuum the stairs and clean a bathroom with these beckoning me??? Not to mention, I did not post a picture of Divine Intimacy which was also in the box. Plus, I grabbed a book about Eagle Scouts called Legacy of Honor when I was at the Scout shop. Good gracious!

The boys are attending a Merit Badge Madness weekend soon so the youngest needed a Geology MB book. Then, instead of just buying the book, I went bonkers looking around. I purchased two more needed items: scout pants (one pair for each boy). Then: I went 'round the shop adding things here and there. Oh, well. The youngest was pleased when I gave him a gift (circular scout emblem Swiss-army-like disc). He happily laughed at it being "so cute" and promptly started using the scissors to cut up the scout shop carrier bag. Lovely. I better not see any of that bag in the yard later (ahem, from the dog having eaten any).

Take a break! You know no one is going to clean the BR for you so just do it later...Cathy
Cathy - wise words. You must be Irish! I'm done vacuuming the stairs and two landings (this was a thorough job) and took two bags of recycling to the bin and picked up the mail. Now, I'm going to dig in and try and catch up to today's date in In Conversation with God . . . may take a few days, actually, but will be worth it, I'm sure. I'll be cleaning that BR after dinner. That's all that is left on today's do-list. Hurrah!
Read, just read! You know you want to!!!
Oh, I would be so tempted to just look through these books, too. They look so inviting, like they're just calling your name ... Sarah! Sarah! =) Anyway, way to go on getting your jobs done! You will probably enjoy the books that much more when you finally do sit down to read, because it will be such a well-deserved time of relaxation! Enjoy!!
oh man.. you know you gotta look through them:)
Therese - I've begun with In Conversation with God . . . to start catching up - and it's tearing at my heart. It's beautiful and just what I need!
Sarah - I may not get the bathroom downstairs cleaned tonight. Just kidding, I'm off to do it now. I only want to clean two bathrooms tomorrow.
Tracey - I shelved the crafting ones because I think I'll save them . . . for just a while. I don't want to rush them and start getting into projects I can't finish just yet. I know I'll love the potholders one - it teaches you how and the ins and outs (like what kind of "stuffing" to use etc., which is important in a potholder). The linens one came with a free iron-on retro pattern page . . . I gotta hold off and wait. Maybe when I'm in HI I'll sit out in the lani and sew away. Do some give-aways on this here blog of my creations.
