I Need Some Motivation

Or maybe a few extra gallons of coffee today.

Gee whiz, I just cannot get too motivated today. But, I have to. I know I'll plug along until I get "it" all done (aka housework - bleckity blech!). It's 10:59am and I'm sitting here with a towel on my head . . . just out of the shower. Most say a shower is just what they need to get them going in the morning. For me, it's just what puts me back to sleep really - except, I'm cleaner and I feel really good about that. Still.

Yankee Candle put out a new scent, slapped that scent on a scratchity square and mailed it to me with some coupons. I love that scent. In the shower I was planning my purchasing attack.

What the hell am I thinking? I don't have enough time to burn any more candles! I just got my final candle order yesterday. Gee whizzy!

So.

I need to get my hair dry and slap some make up on so I can go buy a few items at the grocery store. Yes, that's part of the drag - going there again. I can't stand it. Can't people just stop going to the bathroom or wipe with less? Do people around here (Chief, in particular) have to drink a gallon of milk and a 48ounce bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup every two days? Do they not all know that cutting me loose in a grocery store to buy a few things we need (milk, TP) that I start thinking I need everything else in there, too? To top it off, when I announce I'm going, Teenie will want to come - and she puts stuff in the trolley. We'll have TP, milk, another Hershey's syrup, ice cream, at least one bag of those evil, cleverly placed chocolates for Easter, and soda (which I keep swearing I won't ever buy again, but keep buying because: if there is one can of Coke in the house, I can live w/out it; if there is none, I suddenly WANT A COKE. But, my kids keep drinking all of it!). Vicious circle.

Just typing the words "vicious circle" makes me want to watch "Notting Hill". Incidentally, why are you wearing that? Well, I didn't have any clean clothes so I was rootin' away in your closet and found this and thought, "cool". (character sharing flat with Hugh Grant is wearing Hugh's snorkeling gear). Eventually, Grant's character admonishes: You never will, in fact, have clean clothes if you don't clean them. The flatmate says, "Vicious circle". I can't remember the dialogue as well as I'd like, but I always enjoy this film.

Perhaps I shall ready myself for the grocers, shop CAREFULLY, and return to some more coffee and this film. I need something light to top off the week. This very crazy week.

I pray you all have a blessed, happy, and fulfilling weekend.

You crack me up. It has been a very unproductive morning for me. I can't help but want to be anywhere but work right now! But I would rather work then grocery shop anyday :)

Notting Hill is awesome. I love all of the music in that movie and used to have the soundtrack.

I hope you had a successfull shopping day...and have a wonderfull weekend!!

I left you your cupcake back in the "Trusting" combox. Get it before it gets stale.

So what is the new Yankee Candle scent? So often, Sarah, I think as I read your posts this woman would be fun to have coffee with. You're a scream.

LarryD - it's delish! Thank you!! You are too funny!

Rosemary - The new scent is kiwi berry - it's really lovely. Thanks for the compliment. I would be honored to have coffee with you. Well, in fact, all of you.

The grocery store went off well. There were a few extras in the cart , 'cos sure enough, Teenie went with me. :-)

Please! If ONE more person in my house *gently* reminds me that we are out of chocolate syrup I am going to buy the sugar free kind! Thank you for sharing your story. You know, misery loves company...;-)
