Field Trips

At the Divine Mercy meeting yesterday we discussed our upcoming plans to take a day trip to the National Padre Pio Center in PA next month and in mid-May a trip to Blessed Kateri Takewitha's shrine in New York, with a stop over at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA. Fortunately, after speaking with my husband about these trips, he's said as long as I don't lose my mind with all the packing and junk coming up that I can go. Yippee! I was hoping I could see these place before moving to Hawaii.

Another interesting thing is that on April 19th I will be installed as a Divine Mercy Apostle. Pretty cool! At our Divine Mercy celebration, I will share my healing story through the hands of a Divine Mercy priest at the MCCW Wordwide conference last October. Well, that's the plan, but I am hoping that God will make it clear to me whether I should share this at our parish in such a widespread manner. I am not certain. Would you?

So, my question to you all is: if you were healed of something crippling, would you tell a group of folks? Leave your answer in the comments, if you could kindly do so.

My story is briefly told in an October (7th) 2008 post. I keep hearing "a profit is without honor in his home town" . . . but on a blog there is a little anonymity, you know? I was healed of anxiety. Let's just say that it would keep me from going out. I would turn into Jell-O and get the trots (the shitskees) when I had to go somewhere - even if it were for fun (like going to the library to get a book I'd ordered in or a family holiday). I'm telling you in all seriousness, I would just get physically ill. I asked Father Ron to ask Jesus to heal me of anxiety at the healing Mass - and I thank God that He granted me this.

But, anyway, at least I'll have some fun photos' and stories to tell in the next two months. I mean, in addition to the other junk I throw your way.

Have a blessed night!

Personally, I would share...if your story helps just one person, it's worth it, isn't it?

I agree with Therese...even if it helps one person.

April 19th! Big day here also with my birthday and my daughters first communion! Will be a fun day for all.

I say definitely share! Especially with something so insipid as anxiety, it may bring great peace to someone else who is struggling with it who hears your talk.

God Bless,
Jane

Yes, share! One person..besides, you'll be moving away...your hometown will be elsewhere. Look at it this way..hope..you are giving someone who needs hope to have something to think about, pray about, and maybe for the first time they've ever heard of a healing.
Also, I got a call from Alexa tonight because I had emailed Rob to tell her "Hello" and that I missed her and all that gushy stuff. She told me to tell Sarah .."Hello!" :)

Later, girlie!

Hey, when are you going to the Barto, Padre Pio shrine? Maybe I could meet ya there?

JMJ - I think the Padre Pio shrine is set for the 25th of April. Email me at oldhamdj(at) comcast (dot) net and I'll swing back the information - and I'll be extremely specific.

Thanks, all, I will then move ahead. I had a dream last night as well that confirms I should.

God is good!

to answer your question with a question.

How many times did Jesus heal a person....then tell them to go and tell others what had happened so that they too might come and be saved???
