Children's Garden Progress Report

An Eagle Scout project that beautifies a Children's memorial garden at our parish, is a community effort. The Scout has helped our parish and we have helped him with his project. I love it when we work together everyone gets good from it. Here's a group of folks starting the dig. The path curves to the left to join the sidewalk, from the sidewalk, another path goes in the opposite direction to the back wall you see in the far background.

Here's one of our parishioners using quite a loud piece of equipment, pounding the gravel flat. See the lady in blue? She's our parish Spanish Choir director, and if she isn't singing, she's standing like that engaged in wonderful conversation.

My friend "J" may want me to remove this pic since she hates (loathes) having her picture taken. These pics were taken by the Scout (I think - they were sent to us by email from him, so he gets photo credit). If "J" says to remove it, I will. I'll just have to haul my lazy bones up the chapel and take my own photo then, but I don't mind; there's really very little I would deny my friend "J". She knows it. Or, if she doesn't, she does now. But, here's the bricks going down. The gal on the ground is the Master Gardener (she is a hot mama, a fantastic volunteer and has an heart of gold). My hubs was there all day (no pics of him - just how he likes it). My boys helped a while and I was up helping the gals get the food grilled. You know, I had never really grilled - the smoke smoked my eyeballs so as my mascara melted off completely. Good laughs!

If I could I would fly on over and give that spanish choir lady a big hugg-a-roony. I love people like her. Singing and talking their way through life.
