I am the QUEEN of Procrastination!
It snowed last night so school started two hours late. Okay. But I was up and down all night long hacking. I slept in, so the two hour late thing really worked for me. Now, I have these other things I need to do. First, I called a gal to make sure the parish council meeting is tomorrow before I called back the financial gal who will or will not attend (based on the weather and her being older). I was on the "horn" a long time with the financial lady. I don't mind, but I mind. When I'm 87-years-young I hope to hell I meet up with some people as patient (as I come across) as me some day. I don't really mind listening to their stories. In the long run, it is not a problem. But, my being sick I only have so much energy - I need to take a bloody shower and it's presently 11:30am! I finally have the boost of energy to do so and what do I do? Sign on to this . . . I mean, I have nowhere to go and nothing to do . . .
I do have to upload several assignments for the kids (tests, actually) while they take their other tests. It takes five minutes, but I act like it's going to be a surgical procedure to remove my left lung, yeah?
I am on the other side of this illness, I believe, as I feel better as every hour passes.
I watched Elizabeth: The Golden Age yesterday. I'm a fan of that era so I've seen and read enough to be interested. Still. The film was very glossy and such, but like watching a re-run. If I have time today, I'll watch Pride and Prejudice. All three of the films aren't what my hubs would watch . . . so I am watching them as quickly as I can so some of the others in queue come that we can watch together.
If you leave a comment, let's discuss our favourite scents. What's yours? You can tell why if you like.
Addendum: Well, folks, it's 12:47 and the dern stuff is uploaded to Seton and I'm going to run a brush through my hair now . . . blow it dry. It's too cold out not to dry my hair all the way. One of the many reasons I love blogging is: it sorta holds me accountable! Yeah, you all know what I mean.
Oh, and please offer up a prayer for author and blogger, Amy Welborn, as her husband passed away quite suddenly. Mary, Mother of God, Ora pro nobis. St. Joseph, ora pro nobis.

I am glad you're starting to feel better! We are on the mend here as well...
Favorite scents...hmmm...for candles, I suppose apple cinnamon and ginger, for women's perfume, Calyx by prescriptives, men's cologne obsession or drakkar...
Okay...this is fun! I really really LOVE the smell of Mackintosh Apples..Yankee candles..I like Tommy Girl for me, but can't afford it, so I haven't had any in a few YEARS now.
I just feel guilty for thinking of buying it OR asking for it, ya know?
Then, there is this really "different" Yankee candle scent I like just for something different...I can't explain how it makes me feel, but in a mood of sorts..its is Sage and Citrus..kind of a more manly smell, you might say. Then, my niece bought be some creamy nutmeg votives for Christmas...nice!
I love honeysuckle scent anytime..makes me think of spring and my backyard. :)
I always love my cooking when I come in from outdoors and errands and supper is ready..soup, chile, ya know? :)
GET WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
NO!!!!!! I'm the procrastinator!
You sound just like me...a surgical procedure all the time ...just like now I need to take my car payment down the road, go through some papers, junk...major surgery, girl! LOL!! :0!!!
Hang with me girls (guys, if there are any out there) . . . I'm going somewhere with your answers. That's ALL I'm saying for right now. :-)
You gals were easy! Jumped right in! Women love to share their opinions and themselves so I knew this would snag some. I'll share my answers after I have culled a lot more.
I'm a fellow procrastinator - in most things. Today we finish Seton testing for Quarter 2, which was supposed to be over about 3 weeks ago. Everyone here has been sick the whole time. So I know where you're at.
Scents: My new fav purfume is Celine Dion's Enchanted. I love Yankee and Party Lite Candles, especially the ones that make my house smell like a bakery. That would be maple syrup, cinnamon or vanilla cookie.
Just the word "scents" makes me gag right now...can I play in a few months?
I love citrus and Ginger scents. My sis works at Bath and Body Works and sends me lovely lotions with those scents in them.
I love Mahora by Guerlain, but they don't make it any more, it's spice and ylang ylang or something. I am really having trouble finding anything that I like as much, my Aunt still finds it for me at those perfume shops, but it's only a matter of time. Candles - I love Sage and Citrus to really the only one. A really good pine scented candle, but those are hard to find.
Okay, I'll play. I love vanilla candles, but don't like it in perfumes or lotions.
I like fresh, green scents to wear.
I like the smell of freshly laundered sheets hung on a clothesline, fresh cut grass and herbs, but I also like the aroma of fresh baked bread, chocolate cake or anything cinnamon.
I love to smell Reece's head, and Aubrey's baby breath, too. :o)
All - thanks for commenting. I hope to end the mystery by the first week of March.
My fav scents . . . vanilla ylang type; Giorgio perfume; crisp clean linens, a real seabreeze; sweets being baked.
Johnson & Johnson head to toe baby wash...original scent.
definitely the yummiest smell ever made.
Glad you mentioned scents.
WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH STINKY ROSARIES??
we bought 3 rosaries for the kids...criteria were that they would not make noise so kids could hold them in church (hold...hahahaha...I actually said that!! hold....AS IF) so we found this one nice smallish rosary with rubber beads (YES!!) but they're scented. With rose water no less. Damn things smell like a little old lady!! And the smell is strong enough from each to rock you on your heels. As each kid has to have "something to hold *snicker*" there's three of these things and I'm telling you I can't stand to be in the same room with them!!
none of the ones we found with the required quietness factor (aka rubber beads) came unscented.
geeeeeeeez people!
so pleased you are starting to feel better! Prayers cintinue for you and yours, and thanks for yours for me and mine!
I am praying for Amy Welborn and her family. May the Lord be with them all!!
I don't have a favorite scent.
Could you have a lingering bronchitis or sinus infection? Maybe time for antibiotics? Glad you were able to get a little extra sleep.
Rosemary, now that it's traveling into my ears, I need a doctor with big gun decongestants at least (Entex is my fav). I'm making an appointment today - hopefully can get in tomorrow.
Coffee
Freshly laundered sheets (preferably dried outside)
Roses
New Babies
