It's snowing.
I'm hacking.
I'm mildly feverish - or am I feeling this way because I "walked a mile" with that walking nut dvd?
I'm nauseated - likely for the same reason I'm mildly feverish.
My kids aren't doing their testing - yet! - but I don't want to have to "say it" again, dern it!
But,
There is coffee. Jesus, is it good! Thank you, Jesus, for coffee!
My nasal passages aren't so swollen I can't taste said coffee. Again, thank you, Jesus!
There are three films from NetFlix I aim to start watching today: Becoming Jane, Elizabeth: the Golden Age, and, Pride and Prejudice (2005 version). Nice selection, I think! I hope!
I've got lunch baking in the oven (rice and veg in a cheese sauce) - this cold is doing me in with the carb cravings!!
I discovered (just now) my youngest is watching something on Discovery about the Dust Bowl. He finds it fascinating - so school will begin at ten o'clock.
It's never all that bad, is it? Wishing you all good health and many blessings to be thankful for.

no, it never is all that bad...and usually it's pretty funny, if you can find the right way to look at it!
Yes, thank you Jesus for coffee!
Have you ever tried Vicks Shower Tabs? I love them when I'm all stuffy, between the hot steamy shower and the Vicks vapor it clears me up for a little while at least.
Hope you feel better soon!
no, it never is THAT bad, is it? for someone usually has it worse.
i really hope you get to feeling better soon. this cold has been tough on my kids too, they were sick, started to get better and now they've sort of relapsed. but i think this CRAZY california weather doesn't help things a bit. one minute it is cold, the next freezing. i know people say it doesnt' matter, but it DOES.
and YES, thank JESUS for coffee. just the smell of that stuff makes the world a better place.
i wish i could come over and have a movie fest with ya. hubby and i just watched becoming jane the other night-since it is on instant for netflix-we have to share the instant viewing you know. he can be such a tv hog-now you know why i end up sewing so much in my free time.
anyway, enjoy the vicks and give us the recipe for that veggie thing you're cooking up. sounds yummy!=)
Aw...well, it'll pass soon.
You know, coffee swells my sinus passages up more. ???
I hate it and I keep drinking it, but I sip it and just keep warming it up! Ha!
I saw Becoming Jane. I forget now what bothered me..maybe you'll refresh my memory..its been awhile.
Pride and Prejudice...my two younger daughters must have watched this 20 times! They love it!
I soooooo wish I could sit down to coffee and those movies with ya!
Complain away. That's what this blogging is for and give you a shoulder to lean on. Here is a hanky over the blog world (((hugs)))
I am wishing for a coffee and movie time also. My nose is running also. Is your coffee strong enough?
Hope you are feeling better soon.
It is never that bad. Just have a cup of coffee and smile.
Oh, I hope you feel better soon. You're sick and making a hot lunch? I'm impressed. And you walked a mile? Man, when I feel mildly feverish I don't do anything. Take good care of yourself.
The extra coffee and all this hacking is basically giving me an headache from hell. Can I say that? Well, my head is aching all in the forehead and it's so stupid, it's funny!
Thank you all for your well wishes!!
Oh, yeah: Christine, my coffee is STarbucks and it's been strong enough. My friend gave me some Dean's Beans (I've had it before and it's great, too).
THe recipe? I'd have to crack Stouffer's (sp?) vault for it. I don't know what is in it for the sauce, but I bet I can figure it out: cube chicken breasts, make minute rice, add bag of frozen peas and carrots, stir in a can or two of Campbells cheddar soup, salt and pepper to taste, a cup or two of shredded cheddar and a crumble top. bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes - if the chicken is pre-cooked; longer time if not pre-cooked.
I hope you are better soon, I just found your blog ( I am new to the Catholic mom blog world) and am excited to read some of your posts.
