Keeping Afloat

Currently baking a spiral ham.  We will have broccoli and mashed potatoes (the kind Pioneer Woman makes, oh yeah!) to go with it.

In the mean time, I am going to plug in my Oreck Steam-It machine and whirl it around the kitchen.

The store called today to let us know that they are in stock.  Excellent.  My floors need.a.cleaning.badly.  I have only been vacuuming my floors and using Lysol wipes in the bathrooms.  Dis.gust.ing.  I know!  But, I've been waiting for this call for months.  Finally!

Merry Advent to me!  My husband said "put the box under the tree" . . . . and I looked at him and agreed.  Then, he said, "Make sure you take the machine out and start using it right away, though."  He winked.

I love my Chief!

My view on the Sarah Palin book:  EXCELLENT.
I'm not a political gal.  Y'all know it if you've been a regular here.  I'm with Sarah, in that you could label me if you like as a Republican, but I'm more like her in that I prefer, if we are to use labels, to be called a Commonsense Conservative.
I loved learning about her life and her rise to the Veep ticket.  Equally was I irriated at the liberal BS of politics and the games played.  I finished the book proud of this lovely Christian lady, who did put Alaska first . . . until she was unable to . . . . her family always came first, I must point out, but her family also strongly supported her in her job.  When they all realized, after the election, that she could not focus on Alaska for all the BS complaints against her, she stepped down so someone else could get some work done for Alaska.  She's a gem of a gal.
