Thoughts and Ponderings on a Thursday

I've had my second cuppa joe and I'm now quite AWAKE. Teenie is home today. She said her throat is scratchy, she feels worn down, and she's a bit achy. Best to be on the safe side, keep her home.

I watched some of the Today show this morning. I've read some news. Depressing! I'm glad my hope doesn't rest in mankind or the government. Did you read the news about what's going down in D.C.? Ach! Click on my side bar Les Femmes blog for this news. My humble opinion is: we need to live our Catholic Faith - even if it kills us. The 'dying' to be done is we will be marginalized, maligned, beaten down, separated out, mocked . . . laws will be passed to tread on us. It will be okay to stomp us to death, it won't be a "hate" crime. Why the heck are we allowing our government to even consider laws to advance maybe less than 10% of the population? Why are we afraid to stop being politically correct? Creative Minority Report also did a piece on folk being fired from their jobs for 'harassing' other employees and/or faith clashing issues. Apparently, there are businesses that create prayer spaces for their Muslim employees. CMR makes a point in asking, where are the spaces for the Christian?

Every time in history has it's moments where each individual must ask himself, "Am I willing to die for what I believe?" Are you asking yourself that? I am. I can say with certainty: yes. What I am trying to say is, that this dying will not necessarily be a physical death . . . but that does not make it any easier.

Relatively speaking, it's easy to say "no" to a doughnut.
