Okay, Y'all

I never really wanted to do this again, but (Dawn, don't chastise me, m'kay?!?) I'm going to go skiing in the Alps.  My way of saying:  I'm gonna take a wee break.  And, I mean it "this time".  I really need to get away from reading the blogs on and off all day long.  And checking comments.

Golly, I'm exhausted.

Okay.  Let's be real.

Chief came home today and said, "I'm taking leave.  I'll be in your face for the next ten days."

My heart did a 180 shitskee flip for two reasons:  1)  Oh, boy!  We can get some stuff done around here together and, 2) There goes my "my" time.

Pathetic, I know.  The thing is, as a miltary wife, it's kind of nice when "they" leave us alone a bit.  We are used to doing it all ourselves.  Well, a great majority of us are, anyhow.  I'd like him to help, but when he does we have the same goal in mind but two completely different ways of doing it.  Like, painting, for instance.  He (laughably) suggested we use a spray painter.  Ah, no.  Fine, if you want that light blue all over everything, because that's where it will be.  Get the pan, the paint, and the brushes and rollers.  Get the blue tape and some newspapers.  It's longer to set up and take down, but the clean-up will be a breeze.  Or, take for example where to put our tree.  We discussed this tonight.  I already know where it's going w/out having to move anything but the dog kennel.  I've thoroughly thought this out since we moved in.  He suggested moving this here and that there "and if all else fails, there's that craft corner and we can shove your stuff in the garage".  I'd sooner stick the tree up . . . okay, I'll try and be nice.

So, I'm not off to see the Wizard, or ski in the Alps, but to fend off   help my husband do some stuff 'round this here parts.  If I can check in, I certainly will.  I reckon, if our track record stands, we'll fail to do anything but gain ten pounds while thinking about doing these "projects" and never doing anything.

Sarah,
I think everyone is trying take a break...you, UKOK, KM, "Serena", even Rosemary hasn't written much lately. I think that you are right though..it must be in the air to take off for a bit, eh? Well, not sure what I'll do..lol, suppose I'll "write to myself" as I am very good at "talkin to myself" sometimes. LOL!

There is so much drama also on the internet with the political stuff..it gets sickening after awhile, doesn't it?

I've also been trying to read more and do that stitchen! :)

Enjoy time with the Chief..and get some stuff done! I gotta do that same! :)

Later.........with prayers

God must be asking for your complete quietness so you can listen to Him, right?
