Here's our tree in all it's daylight "glory". It's a sad tree, but it's the best I can do this year. I'm trying to streamline things to a more grown up theme . . . the ornaments are still going to be a haberdashery of crazy stuff we love (Navy theme, stuffed stuff, felts, bulbs, and wacky coffee ones, as well as some fairies). It's very pretty at night (as we discovered last night). Holly seems to think she can lounge about under the tree like it's her personal tree hut . . . well, we'll work on that.
And, the table runner some beads and our Celtic Advent candles. Good news: I can switch out the whites (that I had to whittle down a bit to fit) for the set our parish handed out today. They even gave us (that wanted/needed them) brass advent wreathes to dress up (if you want to dress them up). We took one and we'll make a shrubbery one next year. But, Again, a huge MAHALO (thanks) to Barb SFO who offered to send me a set of candles! You rock!
Above, you'll see the coffee table with it's new runner. I really like it, wotcher think?
Oh, Lord. I need a shotgun for Christmas.
Father Perez would not approve of that, though, so we'll go with a better idea: Please, Lord, protect my lovely Teenie from dishonoring You in any way, and, protect her from bad people. Amen. I took this pic from Father's web site . . . He is the best priest I have ever met! When I pray for our priests, he is at the top of my list. Thanks for serving the Church and the miltary, Father. We ask God to continue blessing you.

Lovely decorations and an even lovelier daughter!
Is she wearing makeup!!??!?! Spittin' Image of ya! Love the new runner. And that tree skirt..I have tree skirt envy! Are those cardinals? I love cardinals. My favorite bird. Did I tell you I saw one on my fence the other day. Really lovely tree skirt. Love those cardinals, you know. Wow! ;) I have to find that picture of me and you with Fr. P. I'll post it. ooohh...I was a tad bit over the weight in that one..maybe not!
Mahalo, JMJ!
Dawn, she is not anything like me in looks really, but thank you for what kindness you mean. ;) Yes, they are cardinals. I got that tree skirt on a whim at the PX on Fort Meade last year, 'cos I was gettin' tired of the kiddy Mickey one. I need to put that Mickey one in the donation box. AND YES, you should post the "Father John's Fan Club" picture! I don't have it, so it would be fun to see it again. Oh, and that pic of me as an angel? My mum "stole" it . . . I need another copy. Please? Pretty please with sugar plums on top?
Oh, yeah, she is wearing a bit of makeup. I think at about twenty odd days shy of 14 it's okay. Moderately.
That runner is TOO cute! Glad you got some candles--I was wondering if any that I sent you would get there before "pink candle Sunday!"
Could you save her for my eldest son? She is lovely!
Your tree is beautiful!
Love the Christmassy look here at your blog too!
Your daughter is even more beautiful!

I also noticed the daughter looking mighty pretty. Do not forget ya need bullets with the gun!!!!!
You are way ahead of me in decorations. My dh is going hunting again up north this weekend so no decorating or tree till the 12/13th!!
Thanks for sharing!
Pretty decorations, Sarah! We have the eclectic set of ornaments, too. They have so many memories attached to them. I like that better than all one theme or color. But that's just me =)
A very blessed start to Advent for you and your family!
