What I've Made

Even though Suz may see these before she gets them in hand and is able to use them, I'm revealing here as per a request from some of you. Here's the eight cards I decided to make on a whim for Suz who called me (and another friend) "you are my sunshines". Suz, they'll be popped in the mail soon with the potholder (separate mailers).

I also picked up a Japanese doll (set of three) Christmas dolls . . . when I make my cards this year, I'll be using them, too, 'cos they are just too dang cute! I did not take a pic of the very simple one I made today because I want to do a post on Christmas cards later.

Very nice! Someday I hope to have time to make more than just my christmas cards. Seeing yours makes me want to lock myself back in my room to craft!

Erika - I am actually using one of your previous Christmas cards as a prototype for this years cards . . . I feed off your talents, you know! These ones were sort of like one card example in the catalog, but my dimensions are very "off" from theirs and obviously, I have to kind of "wing it". I want to use up all my craft supplies and the only way to do so is to start doing it. I had to get Teenie from school this AM (she wasn't feeling well) and stop by the craft shop . . . we had fun. I got her one of those origami star kits with the jar. We also got a book on HI origami . . . coin holder type that you can put in net leis. You know, those net leis they sell with bottles of alcohol or individual candies? They sell plastic craft bag things for leis, too, but that sort would crush the origami, I think.

Anyway, Erika, it was receiving a card from you many eons ago that got me interested in card making in the first place, so my hat is off to you!

Will I ever? Sarah! Wow! I am just laughing all over myself here..this is so nice of you..I am so surprised! I thought I had responded to this last night, but my computer was freezing up off and on and maybe it didn't go through or maybe I'm CRAZY and which ever of the two doesn't matter now..ha! Well, listen, I am looking so forward to receiving them and the potholder that I'll definitely love. The cards are so fun! I'm almost through with my apron..birthday girl gets it tomorrow at her surprise party! ;)

I love the look of home made cards...they look expensive and extra special...ironically you can now find them in stores, usually a little pricey though! You are very talented, Sarah and your friends and family reap major blessings because of it!

blessings and hugs,
