On another subject: I am feeling better as the day progresses. The sniffles are no fun, but at least I'm not mildly feverish any longer.
Where God, Family, and Country Are Everything (in proper order)
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Glad you are feeling a bit better, Sarah!
Exquisite!!! Really beautiful!!! Brightened my day! Cathy
Glad you're feeling better, Sarah-Kala. You just keep that swine flu over there in the Pacific, ya here?
LarryD - I think that is what this is . . . it's very tiring. There's the usual snot, bleary-eyed look, mild fevers, mild aching, and the total lack of energy. But, I think I'm over the hump of it now. I'm doing my part to keep it indoors here so it stops here. I know there are many who continue to go to work and school thinking it's nothing, but if they are complaining about these very symptoms, they should stay home. I frequently wash my hands, but when you live w/ someone who's got it . . .
THANKS SARAH! Just got here - Friday morning. Sorry I'm late. I think that is a beautiful bird!
We really like birds in our house. We get all sorts of them at our birdfeeder. I think I would love being an ornithologist if I had a chance. Rob and Roc too.
We have two parakeets named Buzz and Twinkle too - but, well, they're not as pretty as wild birds...
The crazier the colors the better!
Hoping you feel well again soon.
Love,
Alexa
That bird is darling, and I've seen them in Hawaii, but I don't think I'd connected they were a cardinal.
We actually don't have cardinals here - I've seen them in other states, though.
Very cool! Very weird...is that real???
Alexa - you would so love the birds we are seeing here. Yesterday, outside my livingroom window a bird called a Japanese White Eye (I think) came to rest on a wonky bush in the front garden, not one foot from me; very brilliant green with a white ring around each eye. There are Java Sparrows, too, that are just so pretty! The Common Myna have a beautiful song, but are kinda like crows here. Then, you can look up the neat Cattle Egret - those are all over the island where we live. I should go over and try and get a close up! I love bird watching a lot!!
Kissyteen - up, real as real can be. They don't even scare off easily, which I am thankful for. I knicked this picture off the net (someone took it on O'ahu); I should have posted one I or Teenie took, but they aren't as good as this picture. I'd like to feed them by hand!
