I started to feel better with Motrin AND coffee. Go, figure.
Anyway, that fancy cocktail did the trick and the kids went for a long swim whilst I sat poolside and stitched away. It felt great, after I acclimated to the humidity. I was under the awning, but humidity creeps under there, too. Soon, however, I was lost in following the pattern and my heart was filling with joy knowing that it will be in a lovely persons possession in the near future.
I happened to look up at the palm tree nearest me and was thinking about the one branch that was looking a bit tired . . . I predicted it would fall soon and was glad I was far from it should it fall whilst my fat arse was near it. I went happily, blissfully back to stitching and not two minutes later the Tradewinds came along and pushed the limb off. Clean break (they actually peel off).
I am cooking the easiest dinner on earth (lacking nutrition whatsoever), because the kids wanted Ramen noodles. They had a pretty healthy lunch (at least my girl did, what with yellow and red peppers etc..).
When Chief gets home we may plan a mid-morning visit or an evening visit to see Holly. We haven't been able to break away over ten to twelve days to see her and I feel it keenly.
I pray God watch over you all this weekend, and, that He grant you His peace and joy.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. On Wed., I woke up with a little headache, and it was amazing how the coffee took it right away!! Hope you have a blessed weekend and that you get a bit of time to continue working on your stitching—Enjoy!
so that's where ya were:). Well I have to say I wish I was there with ya to enjoy those tradewinds. Now..that's relaxing.
Isn't it amazing how time flies when you are thinking of other? How lovely that you are stitching a homemade project!
That's the only *cocktail* I really enjoy : ) I would of never survived to 11 am without killing someone.
OOOH...Frodo...so cool. He is number one!!
Glad your headache is better. I'd love to be sitting pool side with you (humidity and all), chatting and stitching while the kids were in the pool!
Instead....I'll be doing laundry here! Sigh....
We eat Ramen noodles here also. I love'em. One big salty noodle mess!!!
Glad to hear you are feeling better and having one mean stichenbitchen good time. (is that OK that I said that??????)
Sarah - coffee is the nectar of the gods. *wink* Y'all know, now, that I'm just kidding about there being more than one God. :)
Dawn - you would make brilliant company and most welcome company! I might even be brave enough to learn to swim with you around.
Anne - agreed. This particular stitch is great - not big, but fun to make; needs to be "finished" once I'm done stitching to make it that much more wonderful . . . and I'll show pics after I know the recipient has it.
Carmelitemom - my MIL used to take care of Elijah Wood (Frodo) when he was a tot (before Hollywood). I've met his cousins and they all look alike, really. Frodo is a good character and being in with the Hobbits is great! In fact, I eat like a Hobbit these days and I've a large behind to prove it. :)
Nancy - put the laundry down and come on over! if I lived near you, I would totally grab you and the kids and go to the beach!
Kissteen - you can say anything you like here, you know that. :)
Sarah, I always do the Motrin/coffee cocktail. You know it's been documented-- that Motrin works better if you add caffeine. Glad it worked.
