Posting Maniac

I hope my order gets here today so I can get that rosary done. In the mean time I will finish that doll. I put off the fun thing to do yesterday in order to get the work done around here. I started in on the garage (what a heckhole - needs a lot more work; there is a lot of stuff to be taken to the rubbish heap; which begs the question: if that is the case, why is it in the garage?). I managed a bit more of the dining room and craft area as well. Seriously, the first order of business is to just start somewhere - anywhere. I procrastinate something awful, as I let the WHOLE hot mess of it unrail me. There's no time to sit back and bite my nails off over it any longer. I must begin somewhere. So, that is what I did yesterday. I took stuff out to the garage to haul to the compactor later and saw some stuff in the garage to do and got distracted by that so I ended up doing a bit in one room and a bit in the garage. Who cares? One way or another it's getting done.

I also can't wait on my rosary order because I have one to offer here for one of my lucky readers (Jen is interested). I will have it blessed by my fav Dominican priest - providing I am lucky enough to see him at a Monday daily Mass between now and mailing it to the winner. Have you ever had a Dominican bless your rosary? It's a process! Father W said that he does the A, B, C, and D blessing. You can use your rosary for the Stations of the Cross. The A is for Apostolic, B is for Benedictine, C is for Christocentric and D is for Dominican (I think this is how he said it; he is soft spoken and I am deaf deaf deaf). I am certain of the Dominican part, because he said (as he explained each letter), "What's the 'D' for? Oh, yeah, Dominican!" and he chuckled.

I have a friend that needs prayers. Her name is Terry and she requests prayers for a few procedures she'll be going through soon. Thank you. She says she isn't nervous about the procedure so much as the results. Aren't we all? Of course, having undergone some surgical procedures in my lifetime, I will admit there are certain concerns and apprehensions about going through with them. So, may Our Lord watch over her and steady the hands and reasoning of the doctors and nurses that care for her. May God grant her peace in the journey and hope for the future. Amen.

I'm supposed to go on this trip. I'm starting to feel sick. I want to go on this trip, but I fear it may not happen as I am starting to get a funny feeling in my chest. However, I am leaving it to God. If I am supposed to go, I will go. If not, okay. I cannot believe how far I have come in just being okay with the way life turns out. It used to be such a struggle - but now I'm more calm about accepting life as it comes. God has been very good to me. I don't have to chase things or people or places to find Him . . . I always felt a part of me was doing that. Not any longer.

He is right here.

Oh, better start downing the zicams or airbornes! Hope you're well for your trip. Blessings on your friend, too. And thanks for the info on the rosary blessings, speaking of blessings. I didn't know there were four different possibilities ~ How neat is that?

I love to organize, and if I lived close - I'd come over and help you get started! Nothing is more annoying then getting ready to move, I know from experience.

Everything will turn out the way it should! I'm a firm believer in that!

I am like that now also. "accepting life as it comes". I have a real sense of peace right now. I wonder though if it is because there are no struggles right now? I mean big ones...like financial or health issues.

I have been cleaning also. I get sidetracked a lot and before ya know it my day is gone!

Fun to hear what you are up too. Prayers for your friend are said.

Blessings each day said...

I totally understand your distraction process and that's not a bad thing...it's when mine involves something like "Oh...look, a book, let me check that out" and 'suddenly' it's time to make dinner and the day is pretty much gone.

My sweet mom used to say "Always pick up ten things in a room and it will get done."

Will pray for your friend as I have been a human pin cushion and experiment myself in medical land.

blessings on all you are accomplishing,
marcy
