Good Grief

Meet the newest edition to our house-on-the-move. Yes, my husband found us at the local hair cutting dive (don't ask me yet!) and announced to me that A) he was going to go buy a laptop, and, B) he was going to sit in on the Pack's planning meeting "to see how they are doing". I was annoyed by this for two reasons. 1) We really do not need another PC (laptop or otherwise) in our possession, even if it means I can continue to communicate with y'all mostly uninterrupted (now you know y'all are excited about that!), and, 2) can't he just let go of the damn Pack already. They are a bunch of freakin' grown ups; they can figure it out from here on out (just like we did, except you're nice and keep helping them - whether they want it or not). Why can't people just let people go away? I want to go away . . . yeah? Yeah.

Okay. The hair cuts. My eldest boy had wild hair that needed a trim. He selected a cut from a book . . . the gal did not get it right. It looks like a regular boys cut. He's pissed. He's 15 and he really cares about his hair right now. I took him to a salon and got a barber cut. That is exactly what we were trying to avoid. I have hair products that will help him shape his hair the way he wants, but he's still not happy. The flip side: it will grow out and be exactly what he wanted. Dumdum hairstylist! The gal who trimmed mine did a ##$$^&^$&#& job as well. But, I can do stuff with my hair and make it work. Dumdum other hairstylist. So, I paid anyway, because A)it's better than complaining and continuing to let an incompetent stylist keep trying to fix it; we don't want to opt for bald; and B) the cuts are okay enough that we can live with them.

I'm now on my "starvation" portion of my waking hours . . . tomorrow I'll have my ultrasound about 8am. When I get back, I will pop in at my neighbours and get a cup of coffee. I'll be most anxious for that. I may just stop by a Starbucks and get that carton for ten cups. T'would be easier and then I have some on tap.

Loads of dusting and vacuuming around baseboards tomorrow. Do not want the packers/movers to get the black lung from moving our junk. I'll be the sacrificial whatchamacallit in this gig.

I can't get over how stupidly giddy I get about throwing all this useless junk away. The purging is really refreshing. I'll be hauling a lot of stuff tomorrow. It's exciting, actually!

I ate lunch over at JoMary's today. Her special guest was my favourite Dominican priest, Father Willoughby. He blessed a few of my rosaries and chaplets. I like how he blesses rosaries: Apostolic, Byzantine, Crosier, and Dominican prayers. So, you can use the rosary for Stations. Pretty neat. Anyway, JoMary makes delish chicken soup and sandwiches. YUM.

No more thinking about food. I have to starve now. I think I'm going to go to bed soon. I'm so tired.

Wow...looky looky give us some visuals on the newhairdos.

Cost cutters and great clips are a joke around here.

Sounds like the move is going well so far. Good luck on the ultrasound and gulp gulp heres to coffee!

Lucky dog. Getting lunch with JoMary and Father W! I'm jealous! ;) I am praying for ya, that the black lung stays away. That you round up all the dust bunnies and continue to marvel at how less is more! They have started the foundation on our home. My dust bunnies are getting nervous. Ahahahahaha!!!

I hope the ultrasound goes well!

I've been having troubles with my stylist cutting my hair badly. I'm getting nervous because I go on Thursday and I'm tempted to tell her to just color it and don't bring those scissors near me. It's just NOW finally getting to the point I wanted it from the last cut, after she hacked it all.

And I'm apparantly now addicted to Starbucks. Never in my life have I ever drank coffee. My friend bought me a White Mocha this weekend and I've had 4 since. I can't stop.
