Joining in with Jennifer's Praise! linky . . . Here's some of what I'm hooting about in thanks to God:
1. By Wednesday, my younger two should be absolutely, 100%, finished with their 5th and 7th grade school year!
2. Improvement in my health has been achieved. I am not back to normal just yet, but I'm close and I'm grateful!
3. Our Divine Mercy facilitator's efforts paid off in full for our parish yesterday, as we held a DM Sunday 3pm Mass after an hour long programme of delightful songs, a skit, and the chaplet. The visiting priest's homily was not to be missed! I may summarize his homily later for your enjoyment.
4. He is risen, He is risen indeed!
5. Squirrel Boy is improving in the responsibility department: he's been working on his cognitive learning for Algebra and is making advancements. Regardless of whether this helps him pass the class in the end, the lesson is being learned (i.e. he must do the work to achieve and learn).
6. I'm going to bake banana bread and banana chocolate chip cookies today! Can we all shout out a collective "YUM!"
7. Thank God, thank God, for family. I'm grateful that after all the craziness and independent ideas running amok, we still love each other and that's always what matters - the love for each other.

Oh, how I wish I could post such a thing as being done with our curriculum! I'm so far behind, it will probably be AFTER I hand in our portfolio that we actually finish. Congratulations to you!

Elizabeth, honestly, it is because we are moving to HI in June that we are pushing harder than we normally would have. Also, we began the school year very early, because we were pretty sure it would be a move to HI and, Seton sent the stuff to us promptly. Actually, my original schedule had us done by end of February, but end of April is okay, too. I just wanted to be done so I can focus the majority of my attention on the keep, give away, and throw away piles . . . before the packers come. :) But, God bless you in your efforts. Truly, home schooling is a blessing, but it's a hard one to come by some of the time.
Congrats to all the love that is going around. All the success also.
YUMYUMYUMYUM!!!
actually just throw the chocolate chips this way and forget the banana!
Yes, YUM!!! Sounds like fun. He is risen, indeed!
Oooohhh, banana chocolate chip cookies! Yum!
Isn't it great when you hear an awesome homily? We need more priests who are great preachers.
And AMEN to #7!
Yum, yum, yum!!! Did someone say cookies?
Sarah, thinking and praying for often lately, so much on your plate my dear. Sweet praises always lift our hearts and make us see the trees through the forest don't they? Keep thinking warm fuzzy thoughts, and happy hearts will warm you up during the toughest times ahead. Would LOVE to keep up with your journey as you all head 'west', opposite to our family (LOL) with great Alohas along the way. Happy trails ahead. God bless you and yours! Hugs a bunch to you this day, happy hearts all aflutter right? :-))
Happy for you! I remember when we'd finish up a year of schooling! I'd be so thrilled to have seen them through it and just felt great about it all! Glad other things are better too.
Banana bread recipe is on my cooking blog (click link on sidebar under "some rockin' recipes" to view). Also, I got the banana chocolate chip cookies recipe from the blog titled "Are We There Yet" and on that blog there's her girls blog where I got the recipe. They are so yummy! I have to figure out which neighbour will get one of the loaves of bread, though, as we just do not need to eat all this stuff! I am baking 'cos I have bananas that need being dealt with. I am sick of wasting stuff.
In praise of your energy! and YUMMY too! Cathy
I love this, and I may steal it for my blog :)
Thank God for family. I am thankful every day. I couldn't survive without them.
Brandie - it's for the taking! No stealing - I call it sharing! Hugs,
Sarah
