Crazy 8's

Thanks Sarah for the tag! Here goes nothin':

8 Things I'm Looking Forward To:
#1 moving to Hawaii
#2 going to bed tonight (I'm absolutely knackered)
#3 going to IKEA tomorrow to buy (at least) a sofa, chair, ottoman, and a bookcase (not "sold" on the coffee and end tables there)
#4 traveling to Stockbridge, MA, soon to see the National Divine Mercy Shrine
#5 making dinner (for those going to the shrine in May) here in my home on Friday
#6 pulling out my cross stitch and actually working on it tonight/tomorrow
#7 getting my AM/PM Yoga DVD
#8 last, but not least, and not in a particular hurry for: Heaven

8 Things I Did Yesterday:
#1 woke up
#2 had coffee (two cups hot, one grande frap from Starbucks)
#3 went to the mall with my girl
#4 took a mile (or so) walk with my younger two kids
#5 prayed - a lot!
#6 went to the damn grocery store - again! - and it thundered and poured on me on the way out!
#7 sat here way too long
#8 realized how mundane my life really is, actually, and this meme really hammers it home, thank you. (smile)

8 Things I Wish I Could Do:
#1 swim
#2 lose 30 pounds (2.5 stone - a bit more like 35 pounds then) instantly
#3 eat Belgian choccies all day w/out any negative recourse to my body or health
#4 Algebra
#5 ballroom dance
#6 feed the hungry around the world
#7 see my family more often
#8 travel the world

8 Shows I Watch:
#1 Lost (although, this is pretty much whenever I think about it and I find it online)
#2 Scrubs
#3 Myth Busters
#4 John and Kate Plus 8
#5-#8 I have nothing for you. The above are rarely seen by me as I just feel telly is a time sucker when I could be doing other things. I really see pretty much what my hubs or kids turn on and often just snippets while I read or craft, cook and clean. I've never been a big fan of the telly.

Fun answers! Thanks for playing along!

I hear ya about the IKEA tables ... Firstly, they are very modern, but that's good if you like modern. We bought the most traditional style possible—a coffee table and end table—and my husband put the coffee table together, and it was just a bit unstable. With 5 kids, we knew it just wouldn't hold up. So, we returned them and spent more elsewhere but got better quality that will last forever ... (We do, however, have a chair from there in our bedroom and like it very much. The toy storage units and bookcase we have are good, too.)

JMJ - I hope the "voice" is kind. Tee he he.

Sarah - precisely. I want white furniture (Scandanavian look) and they have a small coffee table that would do but no end tables; they have a lovely dark wood coffee table - two actually - but I'd have to paint them and on and on and some some of them look really wonky as it is. So, my hubs just came home and said there's an office type store that sells inexpensive stuff and we'd look there too. We're sold on the sofa/chair/ottoman/bookcase at IKEA. Can't beat the less than $1200 price. Pretty much, I ain't modern. Except, I like appliances and not having to hunt down my own food.

Thanks for tagging me, Sarah!

Well done on taking that mile long walk with your kids :-)

Man...it poured on you. I can see ya running amok and ricekrispies are bouncing here and there....poor JOT!

Ballroom dancing. That is a good one. I would just love to get out and dance period. A good ol'fashioned wedding dance would be nice, however, nobody gets married in my family anymore. OH...and if they do the kids stay home. That one really burns my tushy up.

Regarding the list of stuff we did...it was fun to read because we really do way more and have a huge life outside of blogging.

ta-ta!

Yeah, I got tagged!! I'm excited to do this one. Thanks!

I love that you say 'telly'. I'm the same way...I have some shows I like, but catch them on the fly. I hardly 'tape' anything anymore and watch whatever my hubby is watching. Generally something on the sports/hunting channel (yey for me).
