Happy birthday, my darling husband. I pray you have many more happy, healthy years ahead of you. You inspire me to be a better person by the way you live your life. Thank you for sharing your time and talents, not just with us, but with our community at large. We are all so grateful you are a part of our lives. You said marrying you would be the hardest thing I would ever do - some times I think that you are correct in having said that, but by God's Grace, I think it's mostly the easiest thing I ever did. I cannot imagine my life without you.
Love,
Boo
Teenie is baking his cake (I'll teach her to make the chocolate frosting) and we'll grill out when he gets home. He's currently in Baltimore at a Catholic Men's Conference and won't be back until evening. It's almost perfect - we have time to get things set up for his return to celebrate. It's sometimes a double-edge sword being married to a military man, and, a man who just gives so much of himself to others (our parish, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts). But, it's been a blessing to see how he's gone from the earliest part of our marriage from carrying his rosary in his pocket and not going to Mass, to being a man who goes to Mass consistently and desires to go to Catholic Conferences, too. This picture is from the Khaki Ball last Fall. We don't have many pics of just us - and this one isn't the best, but I feel that way 'cos I see how I'm aging (and I really loathe my hair long like that). Anyhoo - I love his blue eyes. If anyone had said to me I would marry a military guy before I did, I would have protested loudly. Ask any of my old friends. No way was I going to marry a uniform. Well, geesh, I sure did! I tried so hard to avoid that, too! But, alas! God knows exactly what He's doing. Amen!

ukok - awww, we'd like to know you in person, too! Just think of all the laughs as I really learn English slang and how to do proper tea (I always cheat with the bags in the cup . . . I Know how to do proper tea, I'm just super lazy). We could make cards together and go bananas at the shops.
