Can't Get Enough Of This Today

I am grateful that my TMJ (jaw joint pain) hasn't disturbed my sleep the last few nights, but good gracious! I'm beat! I can't seem to shake my tiredness at all. It's not my body - it's my brain. Sluggish as all get out. I'm managing everything as usual, but when I am talking to people about anything my brain sticks in first gear, yeah? I'm wondering if a slew of black coffee on a continuous feed will help at all today. I'll get back to you and let you know.

Corrine - it's cold up here in MD today; so I enjoy a hot cuppa in my hands whilst standing at the back glass door - watching the snow drift down . . . it's been drifting on and off since early this AM. Beautiful.

MM - Yes, please!!

Regan - I'm brewing a pot right now. Want a cuppa? My youngest son is done with school and my girl is close. THey get done so fast when they put their minds to it. I am going to drink some coffee whilst checking up on their binders. Seeing that they are up to date. They usually are, but it is never time wasted. I stay connected this way. I have a kid sitting job today - so I'll be putting some change in the jar for coffee runs . . . or petrol for the van. Your stitching (embroidering) had me dig out my training manual (Klutz) . . . I'm drooling all over again. The dern x-stitch, card making, loom stuffs, and now this staring me down. Wowza, I need to focus!

BTW - I did some freelance teaching today. I think at 13 and 11 they need to have some basic culinary skills. So, I taught them how to open a can of tuna, rinse the opener, drain the can, and mix the stuff. Next time a can needs to be opened, one of them will be 'tested'. Now, to teach them how to do their laundry: they can sort and they put their stuff away . . . the key is getting them to wash and dry it, too. I do believe it's time.

Sarah,

I just wanted to let you know my latest post in no way was in response to your "Time Keeps on Ticking. . ." I've been working on it for the last several days.

I do not believe homeschooling is for everyone or every child. We have had our ups and downs, but this year has indeed been a struggle for us and I have, for the first time actually questioned whether we were doing what is right for our oldest son.

I'm glad you enjoyed the post. I'm hoping it is helpful to others who find themselves in the same pickle as we are at this time. Terrible twos I could do 50 times over, but I can't believe I have 4 more teenagers to survive!

Be assured of my prayers for you and your family and I hope and pray you find a schooling situation that matches your family, whether it be private, public, or home. God's Will be done.
