I decided to go in a different direction with blogging. Although I very much enjoyed sharing pictures of my family etc., I felt that my original intention with blogging was becoming too familiar. My original intention was to write unsolicited book reviews and make reading recommendations. I also wanted to keep it simple - and less open to more personal aspects of my life.
Yes, I am a SAHM who home schools two of her three kids. I am Catholic through and through. My profile is pretty specific. Those of you who know me from A Book A Day know that. In fact, if you read my previous blog, you know me pretty well. That's not an entirely bad thing. Still. I haven't stopped thinking about protecting my family and our identity a bit more - especially now that my readership is broadening. I hope it continues to. I hope that my "old bloggin' friends" will continue to read along with my ramblings.
I'll be on a working holiday and I'll get back to this bloggin' business before too long.
May God richly bless you. May Our Lady keep you under her most loving and protecting mantle.

On this Feast of the Protecting Veil of the Theotokos, may she keep you under her protection, and I look forward to seeing this new direction.
Were you having identity trouble?
Best wishes for your new venture.
I was wonderin what happened...found you through another blog. Gotta do what we gotta do sometimes. This sounds like a great idea and I didn't know that was your first intention, but its a good one! :) Suz
"Holy Cow! She's gone and done it!" I'm behind ya 100%!
Thanks for letting me know where to find you. I'll be sure to keep up! God bless.
I like it! I will be doing the same someday. I have been pretty busy but I will start again and keep it about my thoughts and not so much my family.
I like it!!! God Bless every new turn you take in life!
Gosh, ladies, I'm really chuffed (pleased). I've shaken the old blog, but not the "Britease", hope you don't mind. :-)
I can't wait to see you tomorrow, Dawn! I'm off to St. Benedicts to get those medals and crucifix items to make those good deed beads. What a day to make those, huh? God bless St. Therese!!!
Oh, and, no, JMJ, there were no troubles - yet. I just think it was too open . . . it's kind of like I either put it all out there or I don't. I hope to blend a bit better this time around if and when I share anything family.
BIG hugs and kisses all 'round!
Wow, at least you haven't deleted the old blog, yet!! Are you going to close it?
I'm sure the thought comes to all of us quite often. I don't know if you read Sm. Treas. but she had a death threat by mail just this past week...makes a person really think. We DO put too much out there, but it is fun and alluring. It's harder to not put too much out there than to put it out there.
It's weird though, it seems when I post more personal things, people like it, they comment more...which is addicting, thos darn comments, we love them so much, don't we?
It's our contact with others just like us. Our contact with others without even leaving the house.
congrats on the new blog,I'll follow, although, I don't read as much as you do!!! (books)
I hope this new blog is just what you are looking for. I'm honored to be invited to still journey with you, even at a more filtered pace and manner. :-) I think we all understand how you feel, and you made a wise decision.
good grief girl!
you threw me for a loop and a half.
I go to look at you and poof! the whole blog's gone!!
I had to go waaaay back through all my comments to even find your profile again....which led me here.
lots of changes coming up for you....hope they all go well
You should consider having a "not so public" blog for people, like me, who want to hear about the kids, the family and your dailiy activities.
erika, I may just write you emails with picture attachments. I think that is the way I'll be doing the communication . . . I'm really afraid of porno spam . . . I got it once and I don't know, that was one fear and the other was that I was on this PC all.the.time checking to see if anyone commented yet. I was a slave to them. This blog won't be posted on as much or as often. YOU, my friend, I'll email.
:-) Hugs to all,
Sarah
