Things to Do

This week is going to be on and off busy for me.  I like busy once in a while.  Tomorrow I must buy a three-pronged paper folder for my daughter's PE class that I was supposed to make magically appear tonight - the day before she needed it.  We both forgot to remind each other after we discussed it Friday.  Dern it!  She's afraid she'll get a zero for the day, but I told her not to sweat it.  No pun intended there.  Sorry about that.

So, Office Max:  here I come!

Also, I'll pop round the post office and pick up the flat rate boxes I need to post out several things on Friday.  Fun stuff!  I like to package stuff together . . . queuing at the post, not so much, but it never hurts me.

The rest of the week has it's own troubles, so for today, I ask God to bless you with the time you need to get His work done.  I ask of that for me as well.

New Plans

Well, I just got an early morning call. Anything before 9am is early morning in my house. It's okay, though, because I've been unwillingly up for a few hours, because I make it my morning thing to chase my high schooler out the door every day. Anyhoo - the caller was the lady who hired me for two days of backup daycare providing. Apparently her mother-in-law was in a terrible car accident last night and is in critical condition. She offered to pay me half of what I was expecting to earn, but I'm thinking: how silly! I said as much. Look, if she were canceling because she was getting her hair done or going shopping, I would expect compensation, but for an emergency where they might need every dollar? They will have to travel to see her. No way will I take any money. They have my prayers. This poor girl just recently lost her grandmother, too. It's too much!

I'm thinking of Christine - I'm sending you cyber hugs, girlfriend!

I have to get my big butt moving. I don't want to, though. It's bucketing outside (there's a fun one for you, Christine; it means: pissing out of the sky, raining cats and dogs) and it's so cold! My TMJ is kicking it up a notch and I need more hot coffee. I can kill the pain with Motrin and jump myself up with more coffee, but I can't make it stop raining.

You see, I have to go out in the crap. I don't want to go out in it, but I want to go out. I'm on a mission to secure a chapel or two for a big meeting for the end of February. I promised and pledged that I would - I do not go back on my word. I actually experience great joy in doing for others, which is why I usually say 'yes' to everything. This mission is simple, but important - and that motivates me. I won't let MCCW down!!

Time to go to morning prayers. I wish you all a blessed day, God's peace, and love.
